The Mantodea Enforcer is less a vehicle than a walking fortress, designed to fulfill the role of policing the Combine's territory as well as destroying invading vehicle convoys. Housing a full complement of police, guards, survival supplies, and three ACE engines, the Mantodea's massive claws are too slow to target infantry and do trifling damage to buildings.

However, they come into their own against vehicles, where a single swipe of their claws can puncture through the toughest chobham as if it was clay and out and out slice lighter vehicles clean in half. Though restricted to melee range, it can force others to play by it's rules by unleashing a disruptive blast from it's concussive drum that can knock out enemy armor range and sight in the targeted area.
