3d creature artist dead man walking anywhere artists about the game: rebirth is a procedurally generated survival horror sandbox rpg. it's visual style is influenced by games such as silent hill and stalker with a lore with ties to hp lovecraft. we have some pretty cool systems in place we're going to blow the lid off of, this year, so we're hoping for some really big things to happen this year, so join us while you still have a chance! rebirth has already been green lit on steam for a while and we're looking to release something this year. for this to happen, we need to crank out more content quickly, so we find the need for additional artists. requirements: 1) able to model 3d characters 2) able to rig and animate 3) must have own license of modeling software 4) comfortable creating strange creatures. we need more enemies! nice to have: 1) unity3d experience 2) horror fanatic 3) hp lovecraft obsession we'd love to have you on our team.

3d/2d artist dead man walking anywhere artists dmw is seeking an artist for our greenlit steam game, rebirth. rebirth is a survival horror sandbox rpg with procedurally generated levels and dynamic gameplay. we have a dedicated team working in our spare time to create a game gamers will remember, but we need a bit more extra help! we're a laid back group with a love for horror games and games which have been well received by publications such as rock paper shotgun, indie statik, and indiegames.com. we believe our game is shaping to be something unlike any other! requirements: * self motivated * ability to create seedy/creepy environments. * able to create own 2d art or modify existing art when needed (ie: textures, paintings, etc) * understands concepts of tiling textures, texture atlasing. * has own license for their own creation software. we have no preference for what you use so long as it can export to fbx nice to haves: * loves horror games/movies/horror in general * love for the works of hp lovecraft * unity3d experience * based in the us * prior game development experience * able to create concept art * able to model organics/characters

3d character artist dead man walking anywhere artists hey there everyone, i'm the project lead for rebirth as well as lead programmer/many hats wearer. our game is making some great progress, but we are now anticipating the need for another artist soon, and i would like to resolve this before it becomes an issue that can slow us down. in a nutshell, rebirth is a big sandbox rpg with horror elements. a lot of our inspiration came from stalker and the lack of online play. i always though it would have been nice to be able to play stalker, but have the other stalkers be other players. think of it like like a mix of stalker + silent hill. essentially its all one big survival horror sandbox, where you'll eventually be able to craft your own gear/buildings. it's a survival game in the sense that the goal is simply to survive. there will be scavenging for resources, ammo, weapons, batteries, etc. of course, you must also survive npc encounters as well. our goal is to eventually have one persistent world that players can drop in/out of, though our initial goal is a singleplayer gameplay implementation before we roll out the investment into a multiplayer framework. our game engine: unity about the team we are a team of hobbyists, as such, this is an unpaid position. should we make money off the project, we will of course distribute it fairly among contributors based on work performed. we track all out work using git (a source control solution, to those who may not know) so i can see exactly who is contributing what and when. we are already organized and are steadily working towards our goals. about this position we need one or more, 3d artists who can fulfill these roles: animatingriggingcharacter modelingtexturingprop modelingwe are open to whatever software you want to use. our environmental/prop artist uses blender, and if i recall correctly, our character artist uses maya (but i can check with her after you contact me to be sure). anyway, the engine supports importing from most known art formats, so that should not be an issue at all. experience level required is tbd. we are open to recruiting people who are learning, but it depends on how far along your skillset you are. ultimately if you are interested, send an application and our artists will decide based on that. contact contact me either at rico@deadmanwalkingstudios.com , or pm me here. please include portfolio or example work!
