A short gameplay session from the first 20 minutes of the game
"T.H.E. Z.O.N.E. is a complete overhaul of the game, based on realism and inspired by
Andreï Tarkovsky's film 'Stalker', for the atmosphere. It is intended for veterans Stalkers,
who like to spend time in the Zone to explore, discover places, and survive."
All features of the basegame have been overhauled and edited in mysterious ways
and it's up to the individual stalker to find them out. The Zone is truely alive and at work.
The Exclusion Zone is deadlier and more alive than ever before. You will struggle and fight against The Zone and its children, as much as against the human population, to give you a true understanding of its harshness.
Be smart not brave - otherwise The Zone will punish you.
Rookies and tourists die easily, be forwarned!
Where will your story begin - and where will it end?

All this has been done, while keeping stability in mind.
During my 20+ hours final test playthrough, the game crashed only 2 times for me.
(The error that made me crash was fixed in UPDATE 5, expect an almost crash free experience)

This mod aims at a raw and deep immersion in the Zone, you fight as much against the Zone
as against the mutants and Stalkers.
Gameplay / Difficulty / Economy
There is only one difficulty and economy, called "THE ZONE"
Completely revised economy, traders, rewards and tasks, to be more immersive and difficult
Trade or barter items with stalkers, instead of regular traders
Items are more expensive, more rare and valuable, you have to manage and use them in a smart way.
You may not know, when you get your hands on the next medkit or drug,
withouth having to pay Sidorovich, what you just earned with that last task.
There is no health regeneration within THE ZONE.
The gameplay is more hardcore, immersive and difficult, but fair and rewarding at the same time.
Be smart not brave, otherwise the zone will punish you.
The Zone itself is more dangerous to you, it's no longer just a "level", where you walk through,
but dangerous and alive with its many anomalies and inhabitants.
Anomalies are now really dangerous, you may have to use different suits for different situations
New and more Anomalies, also new hand placed anomalies to make the game more tricky
Mutant spawns have been overhauled, to make the zone more alive, but also more fair and challenging
All stashes have been overhauled
All achievements have been edited
You can pick hip from the start if you need more help
Mission givers will not just hand a tourist safari, or a night hunt to a rookie like you,
rank and reputation is more important for tasks, trading, repairs and upgrades.
There are many new features for you to uncover, like an all new fatigue system, revised sleep, stamina,
hunger and thirst systems, picking up already planted explosives,
removing your helmet, and more new mechanics for you to find out.
Story / Dialogue / Text
The story has been slightly edited, to be more immersive. You will find new events, text,
monster placements and attack squads. All changes have been done, to give a more fluid, immersive progression and understanding of what you are doing in the zone.
Many dialogues have been changed or edited, to fit the atmosphere (take fanatic start for example)
All descriptions have been revised and edited, they have had errors fixed,
readability increased and integration into this overhaul achieved.
Many new and edited dynamic news and chatter are also available.
You will get different and new rewards for completing the story missions
(for example a drugkit from visiting doc in the swamps)
Progression
You know almost nothing of the zone or its layouts when you start the game.
Your equipment is not in best shape, nor is it suitable for the zone or its deeper areas.
You have to find or buy all the road paths, some can be unlocked while progressing the story.
Progression is more harder, more in stages and more difficult. You will be well advised, to craft and cook
your own equippment. Merchants are very greedy and will try to rip you off as often as possible.
You will not be a legend in one week. Take your time to explore the zone. Hunt, craft, take missions,
gain respect and rank, with its advantages and disadvantages.
Rank and reputation are more story and quest driven, to kill stalkers is less efficient.
The more rank and reputation you gain, the more and better equipment you can buy
and the more and better missions will be available from task givers.
Factions will also reward you for your good work and commitment to their faction,
with extra stashes and items for you to find or buy.
Audio / SFX
The SFX and audio system has been overhauled and reworked.
You will find many new sound effects for things like: world, aim, holster, draw, firemod, bullet impacts, anomalies, inventory, weapon, equip, repair, injury, mutants, footsteps, tools and devices, npcs and more.
No ambient music

Weapons
All weapons, scopes, knifes, axes and attachments in the game have been edited and overhauled.

Armors & Ammunition (ballistics)
Armor is important as never before, armor classes (CLASS I - CLASS IV) have been introduced,
all armors and suits are overhauled and edited, to have a purpose and speciality.
Proper early, mid and late game ammunition has been introduced, with its advantages and disadvantages. Where you fire at (head, torso, legs, arms) and the ammunition
you now chose to engage a target with genuinely matters.
It is up to the individual stalker, to manage his magazines,
prepare with different equipment and to analyze his enemies accordingly.
HUD / Map / PDA Guide
The HUD and Map have been completly revised.
You will find new textures, icons, info, positions and much more
You will no longer see most status effects, like radiation, overencumbered and so on.
Only hunger, thirst, sleep and bleeding icons are displayed.
Complete new PDA Guide that is actually helpful
No more hitmarker when shot and more trickery like this
New encyclopedia messages for articles and anomalies
ITEMS
All items, be it weapons, armors, drugs, consumables, artefacts etc, have been overhauled
Be it drinks or medikits, most of them no longer remove radiation
Mutant parts and food can become rotten and useless
Certain foods will also not damage your health anymore
Adjusted weight, prices, usage numbers and effects, it has all been changed
Arefact spawns, abilites, weight and costs have been changed
Cooking / Crafting
Completely changed and overhauled. You no longer need recipes to cook things
You can cook some meats over an active campfire
Different meals require different ingredients
Some special mutant meats can be crafted, to give you more bonuses to stamina or resistances
Crafting is now mandatory, to survive and to manage your economy status
You can craft items in the field, only needing the tools, recipes and parts to craft them
There are many new recipes for you to find and new ways to find them
You can craft way, way more items, even toolkits and also some new items, like a field bandage for example
Monsters
All monsters are more dangerous, fast and deadly, but also fair, according to their lore in the PDA Guide.
You will see cats and dog packs, lead by psy-dogs more often, and at night, roaming for food
All monster relations have been adjusted, you see more fighting or working together against you!

More chatter
More view distance
NPC collision has been reworked
More dynamic leaderboard (Top 100)
AI changes to combat, help, trade and more
They take cover more often and want to ambush you

in almost all cases modified, fixed & expanded.
These changes to added addons are many, and can range from SIMPLE changes like:
adjusting or editing text / color / sounds, fixing ogg or other small errors
removing stalker spawns from "dynamic mutants" in underground maps, like brain scorcher
To more ADVANCED changes like:
adding more meats and now mutant parts to "arszi's rotten meat" addon (descriptions, textures etc..)
removing certain screen effects from "DYNAMIC ANOMALIES OVERHAUL" and adding messages for PDA GUIDE
Until BIG changes like:
reconstructing "IGI TASK FRAMEWORK" (fixes, rewards, presentation etc..)
reworking things like "fatigue sytem" (new descriptions, items, values, script changes etc..)

of your new anomaly installation, overwrite files when asked

MONSTER UNSTUCKER - It can generate crashes (spawning creatures with the same ID)
GLOSSY SSR - Generates visual bugs (transparency on surfaces and guns)
TB'S ANGRY CHIMERA GROWLS - Procudes errors and can crash the game
DYNAMIC NPC ARMOR VISUALS - Produces errors and other problems
Campfire saving can in rare cases turn ambient music on, when conditions to allow
saving are not met (open & close the main menu via "ESC" to fix it)
Sometimes after disassemblying an item, the disassembly function will work without
holding "ALT" (just press "ALT" once before opening the inventory again, to fix it)
Armors or helmets in your inventory that have 0% condition, will break the inventory display bars, showing
you no protective value (bug from "BETTER STATS BARS", author is informed)
Remove the item from your inventory or repair it, and reload the save / switch map to fix it
Corpses that were looted by npcs, won't reveal the encyclopedia faction notification, if you have not
met this faction before (bug from "Agressive NPC Looting", author is informed)
I have tested this overhaul for many hours and have worked many more
to ensure compatibility between all the features.
But after all that, "I'm only human".
So if there are any errors, you can post your crash log "XYZ.log" located in
your Anomaly install folder, under "appdata\logs" and I will see what to do about it.

В КПК отсутствуют надписи в разделе Отношения, Статистика, Руководство, и еще много где! Не знаю как здесь для наглядности выложить скриншоты!Установил оба архива! Все работает, картинка радует, но отсутствуют надписи на кнопках окон при сохранении и загрузке и в КПК!

Ambient Music is dont playing. It begins only if i go to main menu and back. How can i fix this?
Ambient music is intentionally deactivated.
If you want to play with it, delete the following files from gamedata\scripts:

Радует стабильность! Побегал по Кардону, выполнил КМБ Фаната (в местном переводе он Фанатик))) забавно! Текстуры, решейд, все очень радует глаз, звуки атмосферные, присутствует даже озвучка использования болтов! Есть вопрос...включена анимация использования предметов, но анимации как таковой нет! Исправляемо?
Вы имеете в виду "FOOD, DRUG AND DRINKS ANIMATIONS V0.8.8I_H3 [1.5.1]"?
Он не включен в этот пак, так как модели иногда не соответствуют предметам. И некоторые другие ошибки с модом, например, обрыв стен и объектов при снятии шкуры с мутанта.
У меня это только в списке дел, чтобы посмотреть, как я могу это реализовать.

Все выглядит очень стильно и атмосферно! Побегав по Кардону(дальше пока и желания не было уходить) , начал понимать какую атмосферу и антураж автор пытается донести до пользователя! Ощущается полное погружение в процесс становления сталкера! Авторский баланс нов, мне понравился! Жаль конечно что пока не все функции работоспособны, но потенциал у сего творения чувствуется огромный!
К автору просьба! Мне кажется система скилов от Haruk"a логично впишется в этот мод (хочется так это называть), и не пойдет в разрез с основной его концепцией! Такой вариант возможен?! :)
Hey! I don't think it fits into the overhaul, let me tell you why:
This overhaul works, because we take power from the player and give it to the world. When this is done, the world will feel dangerous and immersive. With such addons, you give the player more power, thus making the world less dangerous and therefore also less immersive.
But if you want to install it, you can. The files it overwrites are identical in function and there should be no problems, if you want to use it.

У ГП двоится в глазах ! Никаких видимых повреждений ни индикации нет! Все восстановилось у костра! Вроде где то читал что ПСИ здоровье? Возможно ошибаюсь поправьте меня!

Когда вы получаете достаточно пси-урона, экран расплывается, и у вас появляется двоение в глазах.
Пси-здоровье может быть восстановлено зажженным костром.
Обратите внимание: артефакты могут влиять на ваше пси-здоровье. Если у вас есть артефакт, который дает вам минус пси-здоровье, то он будет истощать ваше пси-здоровье.

Why the low rating tho?

In the first 2 hours after I released the overhaul, 6 ppl gave me a low rating. I wonder how they could test the overhaul so fast...
Guess they just couldn't install it or something.
Nobody reported back here for help or anything.
But when you look at so many mods with a little bit more complex installation routine, you can see the authors getting mad, because many ppl don't read the description.
Modpacks in general don't usually fare well in ratings on this site.
Hey man, I have seen this and agree. But this should be the case with "hey, here are 200 mods, I packed them all in one together, I don't know if they really work".
Mine is not the same.
This is not just a modpack, but a comeplete overhaul.
Even if I were to remove all the other addons, the sheer content alone would be massive, give it a try. There are tons of changes no other mod has!
My personal changelog alone has over 1000 lines of changes, without even the other addons. Of course, the other addons are also needed, to complete everything.
The bad ratings also come from the fact, that many mod packs don't give credit. This overhaul has a list, just for that, with +400 lines of thx to you all (Anomaly devs did it the same btw)
Hi aorushome, this sounds interesting and i'm downloading to try it right now, just a question, was it not possible to make this modpack on ModOrganizer 2? not complaining i like simple installations as much as the next guy, but MO2 makes very easy to uninstall and install addons to your liking. for me i hate the hd models, so out of place.

I agree, Mod Organizer is a good tool to manage your mods.
I however don't believe in mod organizer when it comes to stalker (maybe it will change :D). I use it with skyrim and so on, where you have 500+ mods and 400+ patches, but not here.
This project was planned as a full overhaul, where every aspect of the game was changed, not just another modpack where the whole thing is just compatible and ppl can chose to disable / enable x and y.
So there is not really much modularity.
I guess the HD models are personal taste. Do you just use the vanilla models or something else?
Maybe I will put this on my to-do list.

thats all for now but looking forward on how improve from now on, and yes the hd models don't look very "zoney", i just use deux's outfit overhaul when i want more variety on how stalkers look.

Hey man, thanks for you comment. Yes its really sad. I worked hard on this, for almost 2 years. Some people don't read the description, click the red download button and expect to have big overhaul. They then proceed to downvote this overhaul :D
I received six 1 ratings within the first two hours. That means, for me to even have 5 / 10, I need the same amount of people to give me 10 rating :D Its ******.
It's obviously just angry people that don't follow install instructions. And then they don't even reply here for help, just downvote. But what can you do..
Just finished download and installation. The installation process is almost same as other mod packs, after unpacking it to a clean version of Anomaly 1.5.1 and clearing shader cache, the game is all set to go.
I finished the rookie village missions without a single CTD, haven't encountered any severe bugs so far. Also I realized the mod pack was modified with great attentions paid to details, will definitely try this mod pack later this weekend.
