Sets all vanilla STALKER ANOMALY weapons to have the same "Aiming Inertia". See the Description for how to have this affect modded-in weapons too, or without replacing your LTX files wholesale.
Somehow the one thing I could think of that would screw up this mod (changing how the LTX files for weapons work) seems to have been one of the particular changes made in 1.5.0 Beta 3.0, rendering this mod non-functional. It could be as simple as all of them having been renamed in the database, or perhaps the line pertaining to control_inertion_factor is now different. Either way, I can't fix it until I get in touch with the Anomaly Developers or someone else who knows exactly what it is that's changed, so I can fix the mod for 1.5.0 b3.
I didn't think I would have to worry about this specific thing, because I didn't think the Anomaly Devs would change how the engine finds weapon LTX files, but If I find a way to update the mod, I will do so.
Are you tired of Sniper Rifles, LMGs, and the Gauss Rifle having "slow" aiming, making them sluggish and impractical, as if the game is artifically lowering your aim sensitivity?
Well I have bad news and good news:
- The bad news is that you aren't imagining it. The 'nerf' to your aiming is due to the "control_inertion_factor" variable in each weapon's LTX file.
- The good news is that I've quickly created this addon as a super-simple way to replace vanilla weapons with "universal inertia" ones using the Easy Method. If you play with mod content that adds in new guns, and you want those to be "Universalized", use the Complex Method instead.
I did not want to upload the Notepad++ version of this fix as a .bat or .ps1 (or other type of script) file because such files are easy to exploit to harm people's computers, even if it makes it so that ANYONE can use the Complex Method. The Complex Method is similar to running a script, but you get to write it yourself from within the confines of Notepad++ so you know I'm not making your computer delete System32 or something.
EASY METHOD

NB: This replaces your vanilla Anomaly weapon.ltx files wholesale, but does nothing else. The only problem this should ever cause is if you've changed some guns' Zoomed-FOV values, in which case, you're probably savvy enough to use the Complex Method anyway.
+ Simply extract the contents of Anomaly_ Universal Inertia.7z into your game directory, and allow any files to be overwritten as it asks for them. You should be done! Launch Anomaly, grab a Sniper Rifle or an LMG, and test it out.
COMPLEX METHOD: NOTEPAD++
Link to Notepad++: Notepad-plus-plus.org
NB: Anomaly_ Universal Inertia.7z is not needed at all for this method. The Complex Method will literally alter a single line of text in every weapon config file and leave everything else untouched, meaning it should not break any mods, nor alter your Aim-Down-Sights FOV or anything else you've manually edited in your weapon.ltx files.
+ Open up one of your weapon LTX files in Notepad++ (any should do)
+ Use CTRL+F to bring up the Find Box
+ Go to the tab labelled "Find In Files", and write the following information in each field as it appears here, including * and ^, etc:
Find What:
^.*(control_inertion_factor).*$
Replace With:
control_inertion_factor = 1.0f
Filters:
*.ltx
Directory:
(Your STALKER Anomaly Directory)\gamedata\configs\weapons
Lastly, make sure at the bottom, "Search Mode" is set to Regular Expression
+ Once all of the Find And Replace fields are filled out, you can either:
- Click "Find All" to double check you've entered everything correctly (If you haven't, there will be no results) and bring up the Find In Files prompt again to do the next part;
- Click "Replace In Files", and once Notepad++ has done so, it will tell you how many times and in how many files it made the replacement.
Assuming that all the information entered was correct, you should now have replaced that line, and ONLY that line, in all weapon LTX files.

great post that explains how every player can alter his specific config; thanks!
It probably took me the same amount of time to make the description explaining everything, as it did to create the script that edits these files, and repack them for an easy download.
I had to do like 15 revisions of it so it didn't look like I'd just barfed into the details section and made that my description.
