Description

All rain sounds in Soundscape Overhaul 3.0 lowered in volume by 5db, for a softer and less intrusive effect. Overwrites "SCO3 P.2 New Outdoor Sounds", and simply replaces the .ogg files, so must be installed after that component of the overhaul.

The file structure is identical to the original mod, but only replaces the relevant sound files for the rain effects. It shouldn't do anything at all to any mutant sounds.
You should always install with a mod manager such as JSGME or Mod Organiser 2, but that goes for all mods you install.

Thanks for not stealing my Neopets password. More importantly: thanks for this. I do love the overwhelming presence of rain, but not when it overshadows everything and anything around to the point of unrealistic drown-out.

It's realistic the vanilla rain sound. Try to go out in a storm with a metal helmet on.

Hey i'm not stealing any passwords lol. But I re-uploaded new files on my mod just to be 100% safe. They should be clean of anything now.

Btw i think my version is even quieter if some of you prefer it even lower. I believe that i had lowered the sound by 10/12 db (sieve brain already don't remember XD)

Very nice mod. I play my headset loud and periods of constant rain in-game hurts my ears and bring headaches. I love SO (with stereo thunder) in conjunction with Grok's mod, but man if you crank up the volume, and play for long sessions where it rains, it hurts. This brings it down perfectly for me, not too much, not too little.

Thank you for this. I can't tell you how frustrated I was that the other version was flagged for a virus (and apparently a nasty one too according to the research I did).

Imagine my frustration then... A lot of people keep telling there is a virus in my mod...when there is none RRrrr. Oh well :p

hey since you are able to lower the rain do you think you can make one for louder distant mutant sounds? as of now I barely hear anything from mutants at a distance and the zone ends up much less scary if it just sounds like any real wilderness
