Simplified addon porting various Mask HUD from CoC and Misery.
This addon port various mask huds from Call of Chernobyl and Misery to Call of the Zone
This addon feature :
- visual representation of the mask in your hud for immersion purpose.
- masks get more and more damaged visually too when its condition degrade.
- new breathing sounds for when you wear a mask so it sounds differently from when you don't have one.
version 2.1
With SAVandT i added comments to the sounds "none.ogg", "nosound.ogg" and "inv_nosound.ogg" that were missing comments according to the log.
It's not good for the stalker engine to have missing comments on sounds.
version 2.2
Added Nav Masks as an optional compatibility (only difference with original is that all files are renamed to work with this addon and scripts removed).
The original addon is made for Anomaly by Navjotski :
Moddb.com
So do not install it for Call of the Zone as it include some scripts not compatible by default, only use the optional files i provide
To Install
----------
Move the gamedata folder into your ..\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of The Zone\ directory
To Play
-------
In the main menu go to Options then Game then enable "Dynamic Mask" to enable ingame the masks visual.
Optional
--------
By default the masks used are coming from the Smurths_Dynamic_Hud_for_CoCv.3.2.2.8 addon for Call of Chernobyl.
I added an alternative mask to replace the exoskeleton one from Smurths_Dynamic_Hud_for_CoCv.3.2.2.8.
To install it, after installing the Simple Mask HUD gamedata normally, go to the "alternative exo mask" folder
and move the included "gamedata" folder into your ..\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of The Zone\ directory and accept file overwriting.
Additionally i provided the masks from Misery and some from the Misery files too.
In order to install them, first install the Simple Mask HUD normal gamedata, then move the gamedata located
"misery masks"
or
"misery alternate masks"
(depending on which mask artworks you want to use)
into your ..\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of The Zone\ directory and accept file overwriting.
I added an optional compatibility with Nav Mask remade addon originally for Anomaly.
To install you do NOT need to download Nav Mask addon, just go into the "Nav Mask option"
then move the gamedata located there into your
into your ..\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of The Zone\ directory and accept file overwriting.
Compatibility note :
--------------------
I provided a compatibility gamedata in case you play with the COP Gunplay for CotZ addon
to install it, just move the "gamedata" folder located in "compatibility CoPGunplay4Cotz"
to your your ..\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of The Zone\ directory and accept file overwriting.
This addon is not compatible with addons that use a modified gamedata\configs\creatures\actor.ltx
Fortunately it is easy to make it compatible, all you have to do is to open the actor.ltx of the incompatible addon
with your favorite text editor, then look for :
heavy_breath_snd = actor\breath_1
and replace by
heavy_breath_snd = interface\inv_nosound
and save the changes.
NOTE : i didn't ported the breathing visual effects because it never looked right or synchro with the sounds on my system regardless of settings.
Never managed to find why or if there was some conflict with other addons and modifications, but i prefered to not include it in case it wouldnt
work correctly for other people.

Updated the file to v2 , there was a mistake in the battle helm hud textures for the optional alt-Misery variant (helm_batlle instead of helm_battle). If you downloaded before seeing this post, please redownload it.
So nice! Just yesterday I wrote a message missing this feature! Thanks!
when i install the mod I don't see some uniforms in inventory and trader, like that balaclava mask from mercenary or soldier uniform from military, like there is no drawing in the game for it, visually annoying but other than that no problems.
nevermind my comment, was some other mod cause visual bug, found the issue, had to delete /textures/ui/ui_icon_equipment.dds
This works great, thank you.
Updated to version 2.1 :
with the SAVandT tool, i added required comments to the "none.ogg" , "no_sound.ogg" and "inv_nosound.ogg" as they were missing comments in the log.
It's never good for the stalker engine stability to have ogg sounds missing comments, so better update those sounds in case they could contribute to some sound crash at some point.
Updated to version 2.2 :
Added Nav Masks as an optional compatibility (only difference with original is that all files are renamed to work with this simple mask addon and Nav scripts are removed for compatibility with CotZ).
The original addon is made for Anomaly by Navjotski :
Moddb.com
Note : do not install the addon from Anomaly into your Call of the Zone as it include some scripts not compatible with CotZ by default, only use the optional files i provide to benefit from Nav's masks.
Addon does not need to be updated as it is compatible with the new Call of the Zone 1.2 version without problem.
