I always wondered why a gun the same size as a pistol couldn't be used in the pistol slot. If the problem would be, say, the recoil, then so be it. Let the player play with it, if he wants it. After all, the game already has the Pernach pistol, which performs similarly to a submachine gun.

not really, the other does include more weapons that don't fit in the gun slot. at least if he hasn't customized the icons.
