Does it reduce damage to an appropriate level too? A 7.62 power rifle that uses 5.56 ammunition is just too convenient.
In terms of muzzle velocity it's still the same. I've been playing with it for some time and it doesn't feel op at all. 4-5 shots to the chest to take out someone in a sunrise suit which is what you'd expect from pretty much any standard 5.56 assault rifle. It does more damage due to higher bullet speed however it has more recoil.
I like the idea of this mod but when I hover over the modified box my game crashes and I get the following in my log:

If you want, you can use the one included in my Various Tweaks mod, it doesn't crash and is 100% compatible with b3.0.

HEY TRIED THIS OUT WITH 1.5.1 AND IS NOT WORKING ANY IDEAS ? its still the increase fire rate where the change ammo type should be :(

the location of the mod says to put here - gamedata\configs\weapons\upgrades
