Hey, I have been trying to make custom weapon sounds and they always turn up silent when in-game. How do you get the OGG files to play correctly?
I had that same bug happen lol, the way to solve it is to get all the data correct. In my case, my sound files had an audio sample rate of 48k hz which xray doesn´t support, I had to tone them down to 44.1k hz. Also must be single channel mono with a bitrate of 96k
I've already made, or rather copied very high quality sounding weapon sounds to the game thanks to your assistance. I might even release some sound mods myself. Thank you!

Well there's probably games out there that put more effort into sounds than mw2019. It also doesn't necessarily have to be from a fal/sa58 in any particular game, as long as it sounds suitable for the gun. If you are going for a realistic sound, probably look for a realism focused game that put a lot of effort into high quality recordings.
Mw2019 sounds sound flat, perhaps overnormalized, and generally underwhelming. I suppose Tarkov would be a prime candidate, but not going to necessarily call that the holy grail since I dont know about every possible alternative and there may easily be something better.

I looked around but wasn´t satisfied with other sounds that I found online, this was the one that convinced me the most but if I end up finding something better I would totally make it so both are available. Hey thanks a lot for that! I can´t use that mod specifically but I could find the EFT sounds in some other page and add it as an option.
