Replaces:

!!!!! Make a backup of these files if they exist in the install path listed below!!!!!
Install Path:Anomaly\gamedata\textures\ui
Look at the included screenshots and decide what files you want
Just the backpack then just install from the backpack folder
Just the Compass then choose which Compass you want
Or pick the backpack and a compass
Place the gamedata folder from either the backpack or compass folder into the Anomaly Directory
Click Yes if it ask to overwrite/ make sure you backup those files first

!! IMPORTANT !!The Textures were made for Widescreen Monitors 16:9 ratio NOT Standard 4:3 ratio
If the images look funky this is the reason. I was going to make custom textures for 4:3 but I'm lazy and haven't done it yet

Im in an Advanced Photoshop class and I plan to build on this over the next few months and release a cleaner version.
I'm also working on getting the time and compass viewable in the inventory for those that don't don't play with a minimap and compass turned on.If anyone can do that easily do it, and release it, i will make a texture for it.
Not gonna lie, I like the idea of the inventory looking like a backpack and your equipment looking like actual tactical equipment with pouches and all that. I can't wait to see how you refine this idea more. It show's a lot of promise.
I really like the idea. Its just that the execution needs a bit of polishing. Keep doing what you're doing.

The concept is fantastic and it makes things look more immersive of the equipment. While I'm not into the desert camo look, I'm sure this will develop into an Addon I will be excited to try out.

Btw after I tried it, I'm going to assume it's my resolution because the placement of the textures used is all mismashed on my screen and the inventory is mostly black. Playing on a laptop 1366x768
Not sure, I dont assume anything with modding anymore. I did however test this on every resolution on a vanilla and heavily modded game. I also tested with all the latest ICON mods.
If you could list me your PC specs I can research this and see. Also do you have anything else in your Texture/UI folder
I will try and repeat this, although I have a food idea why you are getting this.
For everyone else getting darker icons, its not just you its me, I uploaded a version with a unsharp/mask filter....thats all me. Meaning I messed with something that didnt need messed with

I feel stupid, I tested this on DX11. It isn't ready for DX9 or DX8 Yet. Just 10 and 11. I'v been out of modding for over 10 years and this mod is part of a class project I picked.
I just didnt see anyone playing less than DX10 so I didnt bother making the texture for it. It will be a simple copy, paste, and resize when I complete the final project. Think of this as the rough draft or sketch of what the final will be.

Hey, man. This is starting to come along really well. If you're trying to make it compatible with 4:3 monitors you have to edit the actor_menu.xml located in configs/ui
Appreciate the feedback. I will look into the config file. I did however make the texture exactly like the one from Anomaly. I ran Anomaly using its ui_actor_menu.dds and it did the same thing on my pc. That tells me Anomaly isnt set up for 4:3 either.

Comment: It seems weird to see the hand holding the compass when we have both hands already visible on the weapon, detector, bolts, etc. Have you considered any other ways to represent the compass?
Yeah, looking at a the same compass model without the hand. Also looking at a model that is a watch and will align with the time so not to mess with any cfg files.
Would look nice if not being so cluttered and busy. When are being shot at. You will not find exactly what you need when you need it.
