What exactly does this fix fix?
Did you ever use conversion kits in BaS? you can test it, or compare the code.
I did, but I never noticed a problem with the part display and I do not notice a difference with or without your patch.
Edit: I modified some stuff but found a gun where I see the difference, the gun is part of the parts... which is weird.
I believe it is supposed to enable the "Parts in Tooltips" mod to work for "Boomsticks and Sharpsticks" weapons. Maybe the explanation isn't coming across clearly due to a translation issue. If that isn't it then I'm also not exactly sure what it is the author intended.
take a kit, apply it to a weapon, look inside the parts section, see an old weapon there.
in my case i solved it by using a filter to only display item-parts.
