Description

Oasis is the custom map hub created by Shawn "AmranX" Davison and is required to run all custom maps for Borderlands. To install extract the contents of the rar to your desktop and run the self-extractor...if you are running the Steam version of Borderlands you will need to browse the installer to your Steam Borderlands directory. Once the hub is installed you will need to add Oasis to the list of visited locations in your character's save file. This can be done using the version of WillowTree provided in the rar. Start WillowTree and click the icon at the top-left corner of the program to load a save file (Documents/My Games/Borderlands/SaveData) then once the save has loaded click on the 'general info' tab and look for 'visited locations' on the right. Click 'New' and scroll down the list to 'Oasis' and click on it. Save the changes using the icon at the top-left corner of the program and Oasis should now be in your fast-travel locations for that character.

Ok, one gets Oasis.rar downloaded, opens it and see
it ready to install *but* before doing it one must
install first Dr Zed Patch at
Modsreloaded.com

download the file from there and extract them into
c:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games\borderlands
from there run the win7_fix.bat

the best way to check it is all ok is by using the AspBSL exe
Strategyinformer.com
as it makes a good verification. If you are using Steam the
install path is at [Steam Folder]\steamapps\common\Borderlands

always backup first all the saved game folder:
c:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games\borderlands
and remember while exploring Oasis maps and mods you better
NOT play online as multiplayer as some report that may crash
your saved game data, and the game.

The files required from the zed patch are all included in the installer...no zed patch necessary.
