Really simple mod that just deletes a single line of code in actor_effects.script it simply removes the line that makes the player emit a tick sound when they are suffering radiation damage.
Do you enjoy daytime radiation? Me too. Do you enjoy the ticking sound when you get irradiated? No? GREAT! This mod is for you! It does one single thing: removes the geiger tick when you are irradiated.
This does NOT affect the geiger counter itself (it will still work as intended!) or any other equipment that can produce the geiger counter tick.
Additionally, I ONLY removed the irradiated tick sound, so you will still have the visual affect and the HUD icon letting you know that you are irradiated. There's presently a mod that does all that, but I felt that was too much. I just wanted to run around getting daytime rads without being driven mad by that constant tick sound.
So to sum it up:
WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO:
- Removes the ticking sound triggered by radiation damage
WHAT DOES THIS MOD NOT DO:
- Change the visual effects caused by radiation and radiation damage
- Change the geiger counter tick itself in any way
- Do your taxes
- Remove the HUD icon indicating radiation damage
- Make the game easier in any way

No idea why the devs include this despite including an option to "tick with geiger only" which doesn't even affect this. TL:DR - Good addon you've made here, a little custom edit of the HUD to remove the radiation symbol, and you have a totally immersive radiation click system that forces you to use a geiger if you want to know if you're being irradiated.
Still requires "tick with geiger only" option to be enabled... It doesn't work by default.
I noticed that it still ticks, let me check enabling it with this mod on and see if that fixes it lmfao
