FIrstly you need to get the recipe books like the suvival, engineering, mechanic, etc manuals.
They're crafted in the device section in the workshop crafting tab.

This is nice, so with an upgraded Echo detector I can safely detect a (junk) artifact outside the thermal area of larger fields that will roast you before you even get near the middle.
Too bad I dont have any gear for thermal anomalies.
Does the Geiger counter have this update function?
the geiger counter just shows your radiation levels, its not like the detectors w hich have a range of artifact detection and reveal range.
I remade your addon for my modpack, make normal .dds icons and fix the upgrade icon.
