Are you tired of the fact that the prices for selling mutant parts are too low and, as a result, hunting is not the most profitable in the Anomaly?! Then you should take a look at this mod!
This is a small mod that divides parts of mutants into gradations of quality. Quality affects ONLY the price when buying/selling and nothing else! The purpose of this mod is to make hunting for mutants in the Anomaly more profitable.
Compatibility
Should be compatible with anything. The mod requires Anomaly 1.5.2. If you have any problems, please write about it in the comments or PM me.
MCM Customization
The MCM menu contains settings related to price multipliers depending on the quality of mutant parts, the chance of assigning quality at the moment a player discovers a part in the world, and you can also enable quality assignment for raw meat (disabled by default).
Also, if you have a Hunter's kit equipped, then the chances of getting a better quality mutant part when skinning it increase (configurable in the MCM menu).
Update 1:
- Added Immersive Skinning Mutants option (enabled by default). Now causing damage to various parts of the body of the mutants, this will affect their quality of the parts that can be cut from them. See the MCM menu for details. Thanks TheMrDemonized and bvcx for idea!
Interesting idea, it would be fun to do a hunter save as a loner or something.
something making it so that you can have different in depth professions/lifestyles in the zone like being a hunter would be super cool.
This is definitely being checked out for my modpack :)
wow, this mod makes an excellent combination with all mutants parts mod thanks man
That mod got removed, unfortunately.
Thats a good base. It might be hard to do (i think its possible but hard) but you can tie parts condition with where and how you hitted the mutant. for example if you obliterated boars body with ks-23, you'll get pretty poor hides and parts, but if you accurately headshotted with the slug, you'll get nearly pristine parts
I have no idea how to implement it :)
But it sounds great!
1. make a table with all the mutant bones and relative mutant parts (you can get it from some of demonized's addons, dont remember name);
2. "monster_on_before_hit" check bone thats been hitted, if bone is in table -> store this mutant id, hitted part and its quality (if part hitted again -> decrease quality even further.), you can base the degradation on hit power which this callback also provides;
3. during loot of this mutant, if mutant part from the table appeared - set its new quality;
4. "server_entity_on_unregister" to remove mutant id from the table ;]
It's not really hard, it's very tedious to fill the main table, all bones, parts, how much they should degrade etc ;] People in modding-code channel (amomale discord) can help with that.
Thanks for the tip! It’s just that I have never dealt with the bones of npcs and mutants. I'll try to implement something similar in my spare time :)
is there a chance that the addon will work on version 1.5.1 ?
If the game does not crash with this mod on version 1.5.1, then all the same, prices at traders will not be changed, alas.
I think I'll check it out. If by some miracle everything works, I will unsubscribe to you
We are tired of the fact that the prices for selling mutant parts are too high.
This is incredible. nice work
I'm new to Anomaly/GAMMA and running GAMMA. I suppose this might not be the right place to ask, so excuse me if so.
Do you think it's fully compatible with GAMMA? Or would it mess with economy or something?
I'm trying to understand what it could affect.
Yes, I think it should be compatible with GAMMA, although I'm not sure about it.
Yes, this mod can break the economy if you set the price multipliers for mutant parts too high, so adjust this one to suit your playstyle.
Don't be afraid to experiment! :)
Thanks!
Very good idea! Definitely will play with your mod. Although, cost multiplier of parts seems to not working at all. Same price over all qualities.
Are you sure you have Anomaly version 1.5.2?
I am playing on 1.5.1 but any other addons work as intended, even script heavy.(And those that only 1.5.2 in their descriptions)
This mod uses a callback that was added in 1.5.2 to change prices when trading, so you don't see the price changes.
Ok! Thank you for answering, and sorry. Usually i was lucky, but not this time)
finally! i can get a job as a hunter and instead of murdering monolith soldiers, i can just hunt down pseudogiants and murder a bandit in self defense!
good hunting stalker
So I set the % values to have a very low chance of getting very good parts and good parts but when I killed the cats they seem to always drop very good and good parts.
It might be cause you typically don't shoot them in the legs and I do have the option on where it affects where you shoot them.
I don't know I am going to test it again.
I love this mod this is genius I just wanna make sure it works properly before I start a playthrough.
Have you figured out why this happens yet? I tried setting very good and good quality to low chance but all i get is good/very good :(
Do we know if this is working? Ive just realized every mutant ive cut up doesnt have the "quality" tag? But I can see the MCM menu and the gradation settings, and i am using 1.5.2, any help?
Oh, I figured out why, this mod is not compatible with this mod -> Moddb.com
