DOWNLOAD
It's easy, you can download the archive here from Mod DB.
SETUP
First of all, make always a BACKUP of your entire MOS sounds folder!
You must install Large Address Aware (only for 64-bit systems with >3GBs of RAM): firstly, consult Titanium - PC Optimization Guide and TECHPOWERUP threads! Put LAA.exe into your M2TW main folder and then run it: select your kingdom.exe and then patch it (you also need to check the enabler switcher box). LAA will strongly reduce your CTDs!
Download the .7z archive and extract the files in the "data" folder
(path - C:\Programs Files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War\mods\Third_Age_3\data).
After the process is finished, DELETE two files included into "sounds" folder
(path - data\sounds):
- events.dat
- events.idx
Don't be afraid! These two files will be restored when you start the game...
This music pack is SAVE-GAME COMPATIBLE!
If you have a problem try to contact me!
Enjoy it!
Yeay!
every since i dl this submod my load files crash with an error that says fatal graphic saying my settings are too high, now this only happens with new game and load file but not with custom battle so i know its not my cards, plz help me i love this game. btw i did delete the sound files.
You must download Large Address Aware (for 64-bit systems with >3GBs of RAM) and put it into your M2TW main folder.
"Large Address Aware is an executable flag that tells Windows that a program can handle more than 2GBs of memory. What it does is that it disables Kingdoms 2GB usage limit and allows the game to use as much Ram as it wants. For me it made them game more stable, removed CTD's what so ever and increased my performance especially in massive battles. Now some of you may ask if it modifies the .exe file. No it does not, it created a "hidden" file and a scrip file near it that work together once you start the game, so the original .exe file is not modded in any way." - from Titanium - PC Optimization Guide
ok that worked, and thanks for putting that in the install guide so others wont have this problem too.
Hi,
Ive downloaded everything successfully, and the game launches fine, but there is still no music even with the patch. After looking at everything, The patched music file is there but the music.dat folder is still only 1kb in size so I am wondering if that is contributing to my problem at all? If I reinstall, should I remove the original music.dat from the original third age folder before it can be corrupted and then just download your music folder after Ive installed your mod?
Thanks for any help and this mod is absolutely fantastic by the way!
