This makes the foggy weather have really dense, low visibility fog. This is just visual, NPCs will ignore it for now.
Update 1.1:
-fixed lots of skybox/ lighting issues for foggy_1 since the original file wasn't made for dense fog.
Update 1.2:
-added an option to make the fog distance in foggy_1 the same as in foggy_2, the skyboxes are still different.
Update 1.3:
-fixed a wrong value in Option 2, at 5pm the fog was way too dense
The mod only consits of 2 files, if you want to keep one of the normal foggy settings, only install one of both files. Here are some screenshots:
This is foggy_1:
This is foggy_2:
Holy fog! That´s the kind of fog i fog with.
I almost fogot how in the fog i get the fog outta here.
This fog is fogging with my fogging sights boi.
Fog my life
Hi, with this edited fog, do the NPCs also see less? Or only us?
I don't think so. However, I found a value that might work in configs/creatures/stalker.ltx, its called fog_density_factor under the visibility category. I have yet to try out how that affects their aim but I won't upload this file since most people will already have it modded. If you don't have the file, simply unpack your game.
Ok, thanks for the tip. I will try to see what happens.
Did you ever configure this value to see what it does?
fog off will ya
this the kind of silent hill fog i wanted, thanks man
thank you very fogging much!
fog this nutz, the npc still see us in a long distance
Looks amazing, wonder if this will make my pc fog my room with smoke (does this mod affect performance?)
I don't think so but I am not sure, my game always had little micro stutters before. If so it doesn't affect it much, all it does is change the distance from the player at which the fog begins and the density of the fog, just 2 values which I made slightly different for all hours of the day.

ok then, I'll try it out. Thanks!
For really great performance I recommend disabling sun shadows and in weather settings, only enabling rain, storm and fog. That way its never good weather in the zone and the lighting still looks good but I have a feeling this gets rid of 95% of lags. I even get 60fps in Rostok. Also disable water reflections for 60fps in Zaton and the swamps
Fetch me their soul
I wonder if this mod is compatible with Michiko's Weather Revamp Revised?
I guess it isn't since Michiko's Weather mod already edits these two files and it changes how the sun works etc so the values are propably different. I don't use it anymore but I still have it. What you can do is go into gamedata/configs/environments/weathers and then edit foggy_1.ltx and foggy_2.ltx yourself by changing fog_distance to somewhere between 20-40 for all hours of the day.
For the original files I also had to change some skyboxes and lighting settings but I looked over the modded files from Michikos mod and it should work just with these changes
Oh I see, thanks for the info
Im super hyped, as long as NPC vision distance is improved! The only downside to fog is the AI tend to blast you through it. Looking forward to the update!
отлично, теперь туман похож на туман :)
Oh boy, i can't wait for a Chimera to jump out at me from all that mist.
Foggin' thank you for this mod!
Author, I love you, this is just genius, I was so sick of editing fog with debug mode myself.
I have no fog
It seems to work for everyone else so I am guessing you are the problem xD I never updated Anomaly for years though, my mod might be outdated for the newest update (which I don't think) or you didn't install it correctly. Also, you still have to wait for fog to appear ingame, its not always foggy.
