Before you ask: This is JUST A REPLACER. DEPENDING IF YOU HAVE WPO, MAGS REDUX, ENHANCED RECOIL, IT SHOULD WORK WITH ALL OF IT. THERE IS NO PATCH INCLUDED BECAUSE IT IS BASED ON YOU HAVING THEM ALREADY INSTALLED. IT WORKS WITH ANY VERSION OF ANOMALY GAMMA/EFP/THE WHOLE NINE YARD AND WILL WORK WITHOUT WPO MAGS REDUX ENHANCED RECOIL. IT IS JUST A REPLACER.

You ever walk around the zone with all those siber cat reanimated AR15's and BAS, spot an M16A2 and are just like, wtf is this? Well look no longer! Something fresh off the assembly line today! An M16A2 and M16A2 with a GL. Both models are nice (insert generic description here).

Regular M16A2. Accepts silencer and GL upgrade kit.

M16A2 GL. Accepts silencer. You can not revert the upgrade, so think before you put it on.
MEAT AND POTATOES:
- The M16A2 is made to be ONLY burst fire and semi. No full auto junk like the base anomaly.
- Both use sibercat AR anims. You must have BAS or another mod that already includes sibercat anims. EFP, Gamma, big packs already have it so no worries.
- The M16A2 GL upgrade can be bought at vendors. Freedom, merc, military, stalker, generic, monolith....
- The only attachments that can be accepted on BOTH the base M16A2 and GL variant are just the suppressor, as it was true to life with the original M16A2. Sure you could have other smaller stuff, but for the sake of anomaly, no. It is an early game weapon.
- This rifle will send the monolith to hell or anyone I guess.

Hi, is there anything you can do with the animation? The recoil is a bit strange when using the M16 with the M203. The rifle jumps from the back and the rear sight jumps around instead of pushing it backwards and I find that it obscures the target when you fire it in burst

Alrighty guys, i will attempt to fix the shiny mirror later today. Apologies about that on a first release, I should have playtested this more.
yes there are several places both on the atk model and on the bump texture

Well? I have not seen a better M16A4 in the game. Instead, it has ugly green textures, low-definition materials, and bloated models. Other weapons do not have this problem.

Shiny textures cure
(1) Invert alpha when a texture appears like chrome. The main texture if viewed in GIMP or PaintNet probably looks like white or silver.
(2) This case the texture looks wet or oily. For this in paint.net its easier. In adjustments hit posterize. View in game I bet that cures the shine.
Edit: This is for the _main.dds textures
Edit: Just did it. Posterize in paint.net. Textures now appear flatter like the HK416. Under carry handle there is a very slight satin shine evident. I have no problem with that.

Two people just asked what "posterize" is or does.
So I'll put it here. It is right from paint.net
Posterize (Ctrl + Shift + P) Posterize is an interesting effect that will decrease the number of available color values for each pixel. Normally, each color channel (red, green, or blue) will have 256 possible values, which means that there can be 256 shades of each. But Posterize will allow you to lower this range down to between 2 and 64.
I start with that and go to exposure, curves, highlight and saturation to get the final result. If it still shines.
i installed the AR Pack (the updated one that is compatible with Bas), i have BaS (nov-2021+dec-2021 patch), on 1.5.1 anomaly there are no reload sounds for me :D changing to GL and firing has sounds but not the reload :D
If it requires the original AR mod, then i have to pass on this but either way the model looks really good and nice to have a better M16 version :D
