Various fixes and improvements to the kits and soldier files.

I noticed that MECSF had one more deviation from the norm. Their bodies stayed for 30 seconds and they stayed for 20 seconds after destruction. Someone at DICE must have been drunk when they made them
VISUAL EXAMPLES:
It's vanilla soldiers and kits with improvements.
-Infantry is visible from max view distance.
-Infantry no longer take damage if infantry collide with other infantry.
-Health regen code for dedicated servers are an option.
-Dead bodies stay 10x longer
-Kits are cleaned up, so it is easier to mod equipment.
-Fixed lazy design by DICE regarding unlockable weapons
It's vanilla fixed and primed for use as a foundation for further modding
WHY?
I get OCD every time I look at the kits. Especially the equipment was all over the place and not in order.
This is made for my own sanity, but I guess some in the public will also be grateful for this.
These kits are simply meant to be a template and a foundation to use for further modding. They are perfect for starting out a new mod.
WHAT?
I simply ordered the equipment by itemindex, fixed some bugs, implemented some fixes and improvements that the vanilla kits needed.
The project soon expanded to fixing the soldiers files.
HOW?
What I did:
-Standardised and tidied up the kit.TWEAK files to make equipment swapping easier.
-MECSF now make noise when they swim. (e_sold_swim)
-All kits now have two unique unlocks. Many kits like EU and all the special forces factions only had one unlock weapon for each class by default.
-EU now has their own unlock templates. They used US templates by default and as a result switching out their unlock weapons did nothing.
-Bodies now stay for 60 seconds when dead and not 6 because we don't have computers from 2005 anymore.
Work others have done that I implemented:
-Cullradius increased from 2.4 to 12 for increased visibility distance. (Rhino)
-Implemented soldier vs soldier collision damage fix. (Arab)
-Implemented (OPTIONAL) health regen code (Unknown author) that unlike e_dstate ones actually works on dedicated servers. It is remmed out by default.
-To implement go into soldiers/*faction*/*heavyORlight*_soldier.TWEAK
-Remove rem before "ObjectTemplate.addTemplate SoldierHealthRegen".
What I did NOT do:
-I did not change field of view in SoldierCamera. I feel this is too subjective to be an objective improvement. illicitSoul made a great guide about it.
Personally I like it at 1.3 on my 16:9 display.
If going by mathematics (I hope I am right!)
Keeping aspect ratio faithful to vanilla it should be 1.46666666..adnaseum
My reasoning:
4:3 = 1.333333 aspect ratio
16:9 = 1.777777 aspect ratio
1.333333 : 1.1(vanilla FOV) = 1.21212
1.777777 : 1.466666 = 1.21212
I don't know if that makes ANY sense, I was never good in math lol

As far as I know cull radius depends on the individual model. I think 12 should be more than enough to cover the 1000 meter max view distance. If it is way too much, tell me.
If you know of any other fixes or OBJECTIVE improvements to soldier/kits files that can be implemented, please tell me and I'll update.

I agree that modding BF2 can often be frustrated by the mess left behind by the original devs.
Hi! I am sorry but this comment is not about those pretty addons. I got a problem with my BF2 that i can't solve and i can't find help anywhere else. All my game works fine. There is just one issue, AI. For some reason, enemy vehicles never try to kill me, i can walk or ride past them and all around them and they will not even aim at me.
