Simple Addon that slightly alters what Factions each PDA shows on the Map.
(Apologies for not updating it to 1.5.1 before now. Truth is, I'm really, really lazy);
Simply speaking, this Addon changes each of the PDAs (Base PDA, Version 2.0 and Version 3.1) in terms of the Factions they show on the Map.
- Base PDA now shows up the icons from your own Faction, (Basically what Version 2.0 does in base Anomaly);
- Version 2.0 now shows the Squad Icons from Your Faction and Your Factions Allies, (what Version 3.1 does in base Anomaly);
- Version 3.1 now shows up every Factions Squad Icons, Friendlies and Enemies alike*, (something I vaguely remember the 3.1 doing at some point in some version of Anomaly, maybe).
*Also shows up Zombified Stalkers for some reason, so yay for happy lil accidents.
-- INSTALLATION -- Just the ol' simply extract in your Anomaly folder, or if that doesn't work out, extract it somewhere, and put the gamedata folder in the base Anomaly folder. And if that doesn't work out, no idea what's goin on, but the file structure should be (AnomalyBaseFolder --> gamedata --> scripts --> sim_squad_warfare).
-- FAIR WARNING -- Still have no idea if this'll fuck anything up with anyone else's game or not, but this is a very simple edit to a single script (sim_squad_warfare) that as far as I'm aware no other mods touch (apologies to those that do). I've used it for a couple of different saves and at the very least haven't had it crash on me from this file specifically, so finger's crossed it's just as good for everyone else.
Also I have no idea how the PDAs work in Warfare, so if it does work, hurray. If not, well, damn.
-- For Future Reference, in case I continue to be lazy and Anomaly continues to update and get even better, I'm more than ok for someone else to do anythin with this lil mod. It's an incredibly simple lil edit of maybe 4 lines of code in a single script. It's nothin special. Do with it what you will, it's all good, I honestly don't care. Nothin wrong with usin it if people want it.

Not necessarily related to PDAs but do you think there is a way to re-enable dead bodies appearing on the minimap?
This is related to warfare feature. In CoC dead bodies on minimap are related to map_spots_relations. But i don't have this clean file from anomaly db so i don't know how it looks now.
If you use the unpacker in the tools folder you'll end up with: _unpacked/configs/ui that has that file.
Yeah, I've been lookin into that, but either the devs have completely altered how the minimap ui works or I'm just stupid cause at the moment I have no idea how to get it to work.

XML files are def. strange.
There is an addon that restores them with blue dots
there's at least two mods doing exactly that... :)

Please can you make the pda's beep sound In and Out like the original stalker games?
Do you mean replace the PDA sounds with those from the first Stalker/Clear sky/Call of Pripyat? Cause that's fairly simple to do, so just let me know which audio you were lookin for mate and I'll make it happen
great job!, PLEASE, can you add mark of dead bodys (with loot)?, the logic is: if equiped bodies have gps then have mark too
Yeah logic seems to be goin in one ear and out the other for me cause I can't figure out how to get it to work. I'm probably gonna keep tryin, since I don't really have much better to do, but sadly I can't promise anything. Fingers crossed though

yes, minimap is just your pda running constantly (and using power constantly too)

It has only happened with him. Moving sim_squad_warfare stops it from happening.

When I put it on in the new version it does what it should but sadly breaks Fast Travel:(

Done. Hopefully. Tested it for like 5 minutes. Seems to work, so that's good. Sorry for not updatin it sooner, didn't know they'd altered sim_warfare. Anyway, looks like Fast Travel works fine, so yay

I have tested it and it works better:) However when I load up a save and have fast travel state set to "Visited only" it doesn't work. But when you switch it to "Show all" and then back to "Visited only" it works again!
Just thought you might be interested to look into that. Eitherway it is a mod worth having.
P.S. Found that dying and loading a save, resets this problem. Also, some areas that I have visited can't be fastravelled to. If you can manage to fix that "Visited only" state option that would be amazaing!!
I'll be honest mate, I've got no idea why that'd be happening. My mod only changes a few lines of code that tell the pda what to show in relation to factions, shouldnt touch anythin else at all. I even ripped the most up-to-date script to overwrite so that shouldn't be it, hopefully. There are a few changes in the script from the last time I looked at it, but nothin that should affect fast travel.
Just outta curiosity so I can hopefully narrow it down for ya, does fast travel work fine with a new start save?
I've also had this problem, and what I did to get it to somewhat work is by disabling the Area and I get to fast travel again.

Dude, this is awesome! For me personally it makes the game more immersive. I mean, the dots on the map are supposed to be PDAs connected to the network. I see messages from bandits and monolith all the time, so obviously they're on the network, why wouldn't they show up on the map? This just makes logical sense.

This actually makes it worth getting the 3rd firmware upgrade! I didn't see any difference between v2.0 and v3.1 which is how I found this mod. I'm not sure why they removed this feature from a previous build but I'm glad you brought it back! It doesn't feel overpowered and, in base Anomaly, 3.1 just seems like 2.0 with a different texture
The perfect balance between minimap telepathy and improved situational awareness. At 35,000+ RU for the newest model I'd say it's well earned. I still need to risk looking at my PDA in the field to see, "1 bandit last pinged near the NE corner of the warehouse", I still have to know *where* that is and keep my eyes open
The STALKER dots are still limited by range and only *some enemies* seem to show up. It keeps it more realistic and balanced. I think they show up on the map if they've messaged on the PDA recently or fired shots. I figure it's using real-time GPS data combined with publicly-sourced information. Like when a STALKER calls out threats, "Heads up! I just saw a [faction member] firing a [weapon type] near [location]"

Yeah it works for 1.5.2, they didn't change the file the mod alters with the update. I'm just still lazy and can't be bothered changin the image/description. But yeah it works fine

Nope. There's a few other mods that do that now though, so that's neat
