Disable walk, run and sprint head bobbing. (Camera shake) [Read Description]
Can be done with console commands, as stated in the comment section :
By default, open the console with the ~ keybind. (Right under escape.)
Then typing (or pasting) : g_camera_bobbing off
Install like other similar modifications :
First, if not already, in the « fsgame.ltx » file, in the game’s main folder,
change line 7: « $game_data$ = false | true | $fs_root$ | gamedata\ »
__________to « $game_data$ = true | true | $fs_root$ | gamedata\ »
Then drop the unzipped « gamedata » into that same game's main folder.
It shouldn't prompt any replacement, unless similar mod, or if original files are already unpacked.
Thanks Alufolie for the unpacker !
And thanks to all the creators for that amazing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ! <3
Addon made on True Stalker 1.4, can maybe work later on, but can also be depreciated.
But why?
Patch 1.2 already adds a "g_camera_bobbing" toggle that does exactly this.
It was a request, and added to the number of downloads, seems to indicate that not all the players read the patch notes before playing a game, and a setting being more expected.
Myself included, as I only found about commands afterward, and was just lazy to try since this was already working and posted, so didn't want to put it in the description without being sure ; was hoping that the clarification would be made in the comments, glad you did.
(Also, unless of course it’s the very sole modification installed, I’m not sure how putting one more is that much impractical next to consoling.)
Nice mod! Could I ask,how can I change the crounch movement speed? Thx a lot..!
Yes, if since then you’re still wondering :
Do you have your game files unpacked ? Movement speeds are in the actor.ltx file.
If not, the Weight addon certainly share this file, and you could just revert its changes, they’re talking about it in the comments. (or keep them, tho) Moddb.com
Then check that page, there’s all to know, I’m pretty sure it’s the same for True Stalker, or at least similar enough : Moddb.com then it’s just about finding values that suits your play. I couldn’t say, I kept them for TS, I would just suggest to start with small increases maybe !
