Inspired by Half Life's HEV suit and HEV FUNCTIONALITY FOR EXOSKELETONS by Haruka Sai. This is a Rendition to his concept of adding HEV audio to Closed cycle suits. I created customized, and expanded audio lines inspired from the Half Life’s HEV suit to give medical announcements, warnings, and rp fluff to what kind of injury you sustained.
RP stuff
Ecologist have donated select artifacts to a certain collection of scientist out of the south western U.S. in exchange for advanced tec. With the arrangement, and the schematics received they were able to produce a concept system for their repurposing. The H.A.R (Hostile, Anomalous, Radiation) Health Monitoring System was developed for eco members seeking to explore the outskirts of the north and beyond. Able to notify them of all hazardous injuries and unknown symptoms due to zone exploration.
This mod adds :
- First time suit donning boot up introduction to the made up H.A.R. Health Monitoring System, and a random music track out of 3 for all closed cycle suits
- Monitors suit durability with announcements. For my sanity the suit will announce your suits current durability based on what repair kits are needed to repair it. For example "suit is at 90%” when in fact it’s at 95%. The announcement is simply informing you that in this case, at a minimum, a repair item that can only repair a 90% or higher armor can be used to restore the suits condition if needed or desired.
- 3 announcement thresholds for every damage type in the game. For example if you get damaged and brought to 75%, 50%, 25% HP the H.A.R system will inform you of what injury happened to you based on how the source can injure you to the degree it did. Here’s a small example :
Bludgeoned to 75% - bruise detected
Bludgeoned to 50% - fracture detected
bludgeoned to 25% - broken bones detected
Only the damage type that crossed the threshold will be addressed, (bludgeon, burn, corrosive, electrical) so if multiple things are damaging you at once you won’t hear a surge of announcements. By default announcements are set to respond to damage taken once every minute. (See optionals below to change this)
- All audio addresses every injury the zone can throw at you with real medical terminology
This mod does NOT
- Auto use meds (Despite possible announcements of such, this is just for RP proposes considering most attacks in game would leave anyone disabled, The announcement of taking something you actually didn't felt like it explains why you can get electrocuted and just keep walking for example lol.)
Optional settings in game mod configuration menu
- Ecologist only (Mod only works for eco closed cycle suits as it makes the most sense they would have it, default all factions bought, repurposed, or cheeky breeky'ed it)
- Volume control for announcement (I enjoy the beeping notifications but if you are a professional at getting hit multiple times I can very easily understand how quickly that can jar someone.)
- Frequency of announcements (similar to volume control change the rate announcements are made with 5, 10, and 15min intervals "exceptions being radiation exposure and psy damage". Now when you take damage that triggers and announcement you wont hear another for the given time you set. Default is set to announce a notification no more than once per minute to avoid spam and to not get annoying. But it can be lowered to max 30 seconds.
-No suit don music (Your immersion disruption has been minimized)
Installation and compatibility
- Drop the game data folder into your root anomaly folder or use some mod organizer.
- Should be good to go with anything that doesn't do something similar.

Added 3 variations of announcements and EKG flatline audio on death. This should be the final update less other issues are found.

I don’t know Russian unfortunately. Even if I could read a pronunciation of the translation you would still get a horrible accent. This was asked for HarukaSai and his mod as well. He gave the impression he possibly could. But as for myself who made the audio I couldn’t even though I’d love to.
Complete mod for SoC did something very much like this. I didn’t realise until I heard my SEVA suit say ‘morphine administered’. “Hello Ms HEV voice, nice to see you here”
I created my own lines and used audacity to mimic the HEV voice. I did pull a lot of lines from Half Life as you mentioned.

does this work with Exolight armors?
When the mod was being packaged and coded by Sai I mentioned all closed cycle suits. If that qualifies or not I don’t know. However if you start a new game and test it in debug mode by spawning the armor in you can find out.
Its nice, But it needs to be sped up a little. Sounds like the suit is trying to make "Lipton the liability" understand what it is.
Can you be specific? It’s no different than Half Life’s rate of vocals with the HEV suit
