An overhaul that adds balance changes, tweaks and fixes on top of a curated pack of already released/personally ported addons.

INSTALLATION
1. install a clean copy of CoTZ plus the 1.1 patch.
2. Drag and drop the database, gamedata and batch file from within the archive into your CoTZ main folder.
3. Install the hotfix linked above; drag the gamedata folder into your main CoTZ folder.
4. Make a shortcut to the batch file on your desktop. This bypasses the 32 bit memory limit and sets a high processor affinity. You'll launch the game from this shortcut. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT
5. Delete your user.ltx and shader cache folder in COTZ folder/appdata if you have one. This allows the clear sky lighting settings to take effect. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT
6. Start the game, adjust settings as needed, start a new game and enjoy! :D

Changes and Balance Tweaks:
- Consumables, devices, repair kits are now more expensive.
- Global weapon drop condition is a bit lower.
- Traders have access to all weapons from their faction at the beginning, but spawn rates are halved so you won't have access to the entire armory at any given time.
- Repairs are more expensive and repair kits are less effective (more for field maintenance, can only be used from condition 65 percent and up)
- Stashes now less likely to contain high end detectors.
- Drop rates for consumables, meds and other supplies have been reduced slightly.
- Stalker loadouts have been rebalanced to be more reasonable. You might still find some random who looted a bunch of weapons, but this will be rarer and NPCS will use weapons that make sense. No more Gatling Guns in the Swamp, or a surplus of scopes to sell for profit.
- Dynamic Faction Relations now uses new rules, in order to accommodate the system as a part of COTZ while making more sense. Rules are as follows:
1. Duty will never cease fire against bandits or mercs, but shall remain friends with ecologists and neutral with loners. Their relations with other factions can fluctuate.
2. Ecologists relations can fluctuate but they will never turn on loners.
3. Army will always be friends with ecologists, will never cease fire against mercs, freedom or bandits, but can fluctuate with others.
4. Due to lore and history, bandits and stalkers will never stop fighting, but stalkers remain neutral to Freedom, Duty, and Ecologists. Clear Sky is able to fluctuate due to COTZ story reasons.
Outside of these rules, wars and alliances will form naturally. You can even use static faction relations with this - it will not break anything.

If you have a bright sky or dark ground, these are the settings you want to edit:
'r2_sun_lumscale_amb' and 'r2_sun_lumscale_hemi' (both work in tandem to brighten or darken ambient lighting, I use 1 and 1.1 respectively)
'r2_ls_bloom_threshold' (threshold for what light sources can be affected by bloom, such as the sky, I use 0.3)
'r2_ls_bloom_kernel_scale' (general bloom intensity, I use 0.7)
these settings can be found easily and adjusted with the console ingame (` key). just start typing and the settings should show up in the dropdown list. (without quotes)

I have 60GB of storage on the drive that i installed it, with a 4GB GPU and 8GB RAM. I have installed it like it was said, but i get this CTD. I tried to launch it with it's original launcher, and it said the same thing.
Hi, what renderer are you using? Are you running as admin?
This is a very weird bug, because it has happened to me ONCE before and I couldn't figure out why, it just left on its own. The mod seems to work perfectly for many but this crash creeps up from time to time, it might have something to do with that no_staging command.
I need to run a resource monitor to confirm that, but perhaps for now try running it as admin without the no_staging command (if you haven't removed that already) but let me know about the renderer - the engine COTZ uses is very finicky about stuff like that.
I ran it as admin, same result. Ran that command by putting it in the batch file shortcut properties, same result. Tried to change renders, since i ran it on Direct X 9 (Enhanced). Here is the list of renderers i tried:
DirectX 8 (Basic) = Works
Direct X 9 (Basic) = Dosen't work
Direct X 9 (Normal) = Dosent't work
Direct X 9 (Enhanced) = Dosen't work
Direct X 10 (Enhanced) = Works, but longer loading screen and reduced performance.
Direct X 10.1 = Works, but even longer loading screens and more fps plumeting.
Direct X 11 (Enhanced) (Disabled 10.1 Option in Advanced options) = Works, but same longer loading screen problem, and introduced micro-stutters in game, and a smol fps drop.
It seems it's a DX9 problem. All of the ones that didn't work gave the same error message. I ran all of these with the command, and as administrator.
What are your exact specs? The problem really isn't the addon, its the terrible game engine that COTZ uses. It's running an outdated version of Xray used in base CoC, and if it just was able to run on the anomaly engine or something else, we wouldn't have this issue...
There are some very high resolution textures at play here. The renderer thing - thats due to the engine unfortunately. No_staging offloads some RAM use to your GPU to bypass the 32 bit RAM limit, but if your GPU is old then it might struggle.

My specs are AMD RX 550, and Core i5 4440s. It's not the greatest, but it's not the worst. I wasn't suprised when DX10-11 stuttered for me. That's why i always play on Direct X 9 (Enchanced), because that's the most stable for me, while not losing major graphical quality.
Ah - there should not be an issue with your rig here. Should be running everything perfectly. I'm going to release a new version soon with some less taxing textures and balance updates, I'd say try the addon again then :)

What resolution do you play at? The autumn aurora hud only works on widescreen I think - that might be the problem.

How do I enable the debug menu? Since I can only start the game using the .bat file. I just want to test things out and mess around for a while before actually playing the game.
You can edit the bat file and just put -dbg at the end of the line next to no_staging and smap2048 :)

Please fix that, I use that command very often when I have companions around and I also believe it's something related to Hollywood FX.

It removes any references to the companion particle in the axr_companions.script since HollyWood FX's particles.xr lacks references to the companion particle, but there will be no visible green/red flash when ordering companions to move.
A new massive update just came out for AO3, will you be updating your mod up to that version anytime soon?
I would recommend playing without this mod for now - My computer isn't working so I cannot update it.

This overhaul makes the mod complete. I'm playing it through the ,,COTZ no staging high processor affinity.bat,, and it's a blast :). Not too hard nor too easy and that's on the Master difficulty... Just an awesome collection indeed; keep it up;)

When checking the file path, the folder "weapons" does not contain any subfolder called explo ?! i did not install any weapon mods recently (playing with your addon for 175 savegames now, had no issues with that so far)..
DocX suggested that it has to be connected to addon files, not to "vanilla" cotz....you have any ideas what i could check? didnt find any similar problems in other forums...
