Final Carnage is a Zdoom level pack for Doom 2, it contains 8 maps (plus 1 secret level) at the moment, this campaign is strongly inspired by Extermination Day and videogames like Half-Life, Opposing Force and Doom 2016.
It is aimed to be played with Project Brutality (any version is compatible) but works without any issues with other mods like Brutal Doom, Smooth Doom, etc...
You can jump or crouch without breaking anything and there are many objects, windows and electrical panels that can be destroyed just like EDay, it also has a little story.
Final Carnage contains about 2 hours of gameplay depending on your pace, it has its own music in the levels, dialogues and various scripts in every map.
I've been working on this mini campaign for over half a year as a love letter to Doom and other games that have inspired me to create these levels like Half-Life, any feedback or bugs you find will be greatly appreciated!
Remember, for the best experience, I recommend playing it with Project Brutality!

V.01A Update:
-Added a few more corpses (dead security guards and boxers guys) around some levels, they are now also destroyable
-Added clothes thrown in the floor of the changing rooms (map01, map02, map03 and map31)
-Map03 has more decorations in some areas
-Added a new kind of big tree and stalagmite in Map05
-Added plates and cutlery in the cafeterias of Map02 and Map03
-Added more variety of small monitors in almost all levels
-Added sitting scientists in Map03 and Map08
-Added more decorations in the previous room before Hayden's office (Map08)
-Hayden's office has now an unique door
-Replaced the priest statues with Night Sentinel statues in Hayden's office
-Radios are now destroyable
-Added towels in the showers of Map01
-Improved red palette for the blood in the walls that fits better with the Doom style
-Added Cherubs and Wraiths in some tank labs of Map03 and Map31

Nice map, i Love went i'm not the only soldier try to survive, there a few soldier still with me so i Don't feel anything can kill me easly.
the atmosphere in this maps is nuts. and I always appreciate some scripted enemies as well.
Thanks, I also added ambient sounds when approaching to machines or computers, you can even hear the sound of the wind in some big corridors or in Mars surface, it is very noticeable if you play the campaign without music
For only being in v0.1 this is phenomenal work! Maps are straight forward, don't suffer from complexity creep, and other sorts of autism that affects doom maps nowadays. I also love your taste in music. Can't wait to see the other episodes.

It's beautiful, it has a sci-fi and horror atmosphere, I already finished the first map as I write this (I could only find 2 secret areas)... I played it with Project Brutality 2.03 with neural Pack, music Dark from Doom 64 and Doom Playstation, fog, liquid textures and HUD military .... brother marine this map is one of the best of 2023.

Final Carnage has been updated to V.01A! no new levels however, I just added a few fixes in the maps and more decorations and variety of textures here and there.
This is a fantastic campaign. Thank you very much for all the work you did. I wish there were more WADs like this!!

Cool campaign, 8/10. These 2 points are map design, it is awesome at the point of ambient but it is hard to find the right way. Waiting for more stuff like this. Are there any other mappacks with eday vibe?

Incidentally, I played through with the Counter-Strike Martian Offensive weapon mod and the whole package felt like a finished retail game.
Just finished this pack last night; friggin' amazing work on each of these, and that secret level using Doom 64's "Relentless Coil" track was the perfect touch!
Are there going to be more episodes/maps of this, especially considering how the ending worked?
Yeah! I'm working in a new update with 5 more maps and a new secret level, I have done about 50% of my plans. Sadly I don't think I will have the update ready before June.
Btw, that secret level has a few creepy events that happen randomly every time you start the map if you pay attention to some things!
Let's go! First we get an official update on the status of Extermination Day (that it'll be released alongside Brutal Doom v22 Gold) and now we're going to get more Final Carnage as well; can't wait to see the update! I can definitely remain patient for this lol.

I want a level pack with moody atmosphere that were in this map!
Then you will really enjoy my next update, since there will be 4 maps based completely on doom 64 ambience using its textures and eerie environment, plus creepy music playing in the background!

P.S.: What is the OST from MAP03? Sounds like a mix of DOOM (2016) and DMC...
The music in map03 is called "Death's Dance - Argent Metal" and it was made by Kristjan Thomas Haaristo.

Is it unplayable with zandronum? Cause when try to boot it i have 5 errors while parsing DECORATE scripts
It's pretty damn good, but i must offer some criticism.
Some elements are way too repetitive, for instance identical toilets with goodies, there are too many of them.
Also, an overabundance of pillars, and there is always a monster behind every single pillar, too predictable.
1 or 2 more easily available armors wouldnt hurt, it sure feels like the majority of armors are in secrets.
And finally, the music choices are a bit...in more than one level it eventually becomes a blaring noise.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm aware that some music is a little louder than others, I'll try to fix it for the next build.
It's true that most of the green/blue armors are hidden in secrets, I think I'll at least put a couple out in the early levels.
What type of pillars are you referring to? It is normal to find enemies everywhere, even in places you already suspect, it is always better than having them generically placed in a simple hallway.
