included in latest anomaly versions, do not use
Ever felt odd that those bandits went full auto on your ass but once killed dropped a smg at 15% condition that wont go 3 shots without jamming? With this script now npc guns will jam depending on their rank to simulate how rookies have worn out guns while experts take better care of their equipment.
The mod can be configured with the debug console (press S in main menu):
- enemy_jam_toggle ---> enables/disable npc gun jam without needing to save and reload
- enemy_jam_set_chance_base 50 ---> sets base chance of npc guns jamming to 50% for each shot (of course it can be any number from 0 to 100)
- enemy_jam_set_chance_max 50 ---> sets the max chance of npc guns jamming to 50% regardless of rank and number of shots (can be any number between 0 and 100)
- enemy_jam_debug ---> enables/disables debug messages in log, use this if you want to see in detail how often enemies jam and their chance every time the shoot
To edit the individual chances to jam by rank you'll have to edit the script (edit the table mej.rank_chance at line 27)
Posted this in Anomaly but should work on any CoC based mod (vanilla CoC, Call of Misery, Last Day, Dead Air etc.)
Great idea! I was griping about this very thing (NPC loot condition vs their combat ability) - gonna give this a try!
Hell yeah, good one. Let's see if those ******** can now rain fire from vehicle station in cordon. Makes ironman mode slightly easier at start
Why authors of every hc-mod doesnt include that type of script in the first place? No, really, only person in the zone who has limited ammo and worn weapons is player -_- I love that type of mods, but design of some things sometimes... Well, triggers me.
Thank you. Also, it will be great if it's possible to cut off npc's from infinite supplies of ammo - at least it will justify why those bastards has very few of them after death.
i think it's technically possible but since i code by trial and error it may take a long time before i get it done
I looked into this a while back, and it is possible; but very time consuming and can cause a plethora of balance issues and bugs that would pretty much break the game.
This is exactly what i want!
But how do i install it?
Thanks.
you unpack it, then cut and paste the gamedata folder over the gamedata folder in your main anomaly folder. If you have JSGME then you just unpack it, take it, and put the unpacked folder in your MODS folder.
Thanks!
And this works with 1.4.0,yes?
Very awesome mod, thank you!
Works amazingly with Vanilla (and addon stuffed) Call of Chernobyl!
Will this work with 1.4?
Thanks.
It works with any coc based mods, so its a fair assumption that it does. I can also confirm that it does work with 1.4
THIS need to be incorporated and fused with 1.5 ASAP.
always wondered why it was not a build-in vanilla thing.
Already implemented to 1.5 :)
Do you mean it comes in 1.5 or can work if added to 1.5?
Any need to update this as of 1.5.0 Update 3?
I'm using 1.5.0 Update 5 and Hot Fix 8. I go to Main Menu press S and nothing happens :(
Does this mod enable by default or I have to open the config menu and set it enable? Because right now as I said, I press S in Main Menu and nothing happens.
