OGG music replacement pack as an alternative to FluidSynth. This file should be used for version 1.3 of the mod onwards.
THIS FILE IS FOR VERSION 1.3 OF THE MOD ONWARDS!
If you are having trouble using the MIDIs or FluidSynth on your computer, you can use this file as an alternative. Load this file after the main mod and all the music will be replaced by the OGG files and will no longer depend on FluidSynth.
In the batch file example, you would do this:
start gzdoom.exe -file D64RTR[vx.x].WAD D64MUS.PK3
Credits to Aubrey Hodges for the Doom 64 soundtrack, and to Devalaous and Eris Falling for putting this file together.
does the WAD need to be in the same place as the .bat file? I have mine in a separate folder alongside the .pk3 file and I'm still getting the bad music.
EDIT: never mind, took them both out of the custom folder and it worked just fine.
If you choose to use the batch file method, your files can be anywhere on your hard drive, but you need to make sure they have the correct path. The instructions should be clear, if they are in a subfolder from where the batch file is, your simply reference from the subfolder down. The batch file should ideally be beside the game executable.
How do I use this?
Hey bro...
Your remake of Doom 64 is so awesome!
My only problem with it was that the music of the mod isn't working so well and I don't know how to run this file beacause I had the stupid decission of buying a Mac instead of an average computer.
Can you help me getting this to work, please?
I really love this mod and I would like to hear those creepy soundtracks of the classic Doom 64.
Any clue how to get this to work with GZDOOM mac version?
I'm not familiar with Mac but I imagine the process would be similar to loading it the way you would in Linux.
I donĀ“t understand how to run this file with the mod.
You load it after the main mod file, as if you were loading any other Doom mod or file.
