Expands the "have any news?" option with specific lines for every faction, sets of dialogs for every level, new greetings and medkit prompts, and TONS of new lines. Stalkers know what level they're in, and will say things topical to how deep they are in the zone. There are now more than double the lines and they have been re-written to be less of a tutorial and more general banter and faction small talk. In less certain terms a lot of the lines were cringy and now they're... well, less repetitive and infinitely more topical.

This should not have any compatibility issues with other mods, it only changes the strings and how they are categorized, it does not change anything about how quests hook into the news dialog. The changes I made to the script are minimal and 99% likely will still work if there's a conflict. This should not require a new game.
Any references to things not actually in the game are because this is a portion of a larger project I'm working on called Doctorsoup, just consider it to be a teaser. Or that stalker having a stroke. The number of things mentioned that aren't in the game are still lower than the number things referenced in the original strings that were not in the game.

UPDATE 10/17: un-commented some dialog strings that were left commented out. if you fixed it yourself, this doesn't change anything
I haven't even downloaded this yet, but it's already getting a 10/10 and endorsement from me. Uploader knows small things make or break a game!

NPCs appearing aware of their surroundings got me thinking though. Can you make them comment on you, the player, as well? Things like "Dude, your armor could use some repair. Your *** is showing." and such? What kind of data can you pull from?

Hey steve, I have a request. Would it be possible to extend this addon to provide a "How's business?" dialogue option for traders? I can provide content, I just need a place to put it. Have a look at the latest comment over at the Community Update for details.
When you say it expands the "have any news?" lines, do you mean you've added more lines on top or replaced the already existing lines with new ones?
I found this channel on YouTube that translated to English a lot of the old campfire conversations from the SoC and the like.
Really reminded me how great the atmosphere was when I first started playing and was talking with all of the Stalkers in the zone.
This addon was awesome to find right after seeing those videos, hope the dialogue matches faction personalities and is similar to some of the dialogue from the original games.
