Description

The Anomaly discord is getting spammed by people that can't find the doctor in the swamps so here's a script to mark him on map. Just write "doc_mark" in debug console.

But why you need Doctor marker? He unblocks any quest plot like in Dead Air? What quests?

He is notorious for vanishing and no one is sure if he's been killed or if he's just wandering around the marsh.

Yeah, I know, but what if you found him killed or alive? Unblocks questline in Anomaly like in Dead Air?

The most retarded non-sensical element in the game. Have an NPC in the game that not only wanders around an extreme danger zone, but allows him to die and be hidden by the elements of the game making **** you need to be forever unplayable.

Right. Because the players fault. >;P

It makes more sense to park his *** in his hole-home with his silly dog as guard and not allow danger to befall him in the first place. Have him be able to die as well as his dog sure. But not wander randomly around. It also would make more sense to script a story element that you have to complete a quest for Clear Sky leader directly to have him give you the location of the Dr.

Only then spawning in the doc's hole-home as if he was busy else where prior to the location being given.

This would make the story element logical. But also practical for finding him.

You would be right except that in vanilla CoC the range where the A-life is online is small compared with the Misery-based mods. So, there was a smaller chance to him to get killed. I guess Alun took the choice to make Doc a wanderer to add a "small" layer of difficulty than rather just find his crib and talk to him.
And he isn't even that hard to find. He's pays a visit to his Clear Sky homies every morning.

I never ever find him in that hole, but lying around dead or at CS base.

Thanks a lot, works perfectly in Dead Air.. He was dead so finding him was nearly impossible without this, as his corpse was right in dense bushes as well.. Just a bit more info on this, you need to write that "doc_mark" into the window on the left side which you can see right upon pressing "S" in main menu while having a save loaded.. Then you need to zoom in the map a little bit until you see a yellow marker on somewhere in great swamps.. Ty again, 10/10

I think you need to run the game in -dbg .. It enables all debug features to fix stuff, test stuff, some cheat tools as well etc. Make shortcut for DA if you dont have it already, right-click it, open properties, and at the end of the "Target" line add space after quotation marks and then write -dbg. It should look something like this: "D:\Games\STALKER Dead Air v098b\xrEngine.exe" -dbg

Just go to the cave "tulza tunnel" (farthest northwest reach of the swamps map (that is playable)) with a sleeping bag, spam sleep until he shows up. He is also marked as "ecologist" on my faction maps (clear_sky_1 setting) so I guess his faction will be the same as yours. So loners would see loner, and his dog is of course marked a single mutant in white on the clear sky setting. The sleeeping bag method takes a while, and quite a bit of food and water, so bring a MRE and some water.
