Moves dialog list to the right, add transitions, fov change, focus on npc, see preview. MCM customizable
This mod adds Oblivion-like dialog thing, where you zoom into the character you talk to and track his movements, all details on the preview.
Compatible with every ui mod that doesnt change talk.xml and talk_16.xml
MCM menu contains a lot of parameters to customize to your likings.
Tested on a variety of resolutions and aspect ratios, should work fine on all of them. If you find any bugs, please post in comments and preferably add a screenshot to your issue.
Also designed for 1.5.2. Not tested on 1.5.1, might work or might not
CHANGELOG:
UPDATE 3:
- Small update to code, now its possible to focus on characters that initiated the dialog first instead of player
UPDATE 2:
- Added change of hud_fov bound to fov, should look better with lowered guns
UPDATE 1:
- The zoomed state is now staying throughout entire dialog, this should help with other mods that change FOV like DayZ-like Free Zoom mod to not reset FOV in the middle of a dialog
- The character is moved slightly more to the left
- Added limiter on FOV change per frame, the transitions should be a little less choppy with traders

Это шикарно!
20/10
Thank you
Just like in Fallout series, Dead Island and Dying light.
Awesome, adds a nice little touch to the game.. fantastic work
That's awesome
This is such a smart way to make the game feel more like a modern rpg and less dated
*ques in Harvest Dawn*
Like Fallout New Vegas or Oblivion. Nice job there! :D
Wow!!! Very nice idea!
Cool! However, there's a small culprit in the base Anomaly related to talking to npcs: sometimes they would keep saying the 'hey, so you're gonna talk or not?' kind of phrases even after you started a dialog with them (but apparently they think that you're still standing in front of them and staring at them without talking). I believe smth is wrong in their meet logic or in xr_meet.script.
Of course I do realise that's not related to the addon directly and basically that's not its issue at all, but it kinda ruins the beauty... and since you touched the dialogs part - maybe you'd be able to have a look at the logic as well? I myself have limited knowledge about npcs logic but maybe I could assist somehow as well.
10/10
now you can see how the chimera will fly right in your face during the dialogue with the NPC
At least in my playthroughs, NPCs will auto-exit conversations when they detect the presence of hostiles, and they have a pretty wide detection range. I'm guessing this mod doesn't change that, right?
10/10 from me 😆
it doesnt change how dialogs and interaction with npc work, just adds visual fluff to it
And it's wonderful visual fluff, Mr Demonized. I loved Oblivion back in the day during 2006 and this mod reminds me of it and made me smile with good nostalgia. Thank you for this mod, I love it :)
in general, not only in the Anomaly, but in the whole stalker, NPCs are unpredictable. They can be either blind disabled beginners, or kill half of the location. I remember how in Misery there was some poor loner with a rusty AK-47, who always got out alive from the most difficult situations for the NPCs: chimeras circling around him, he was attacked by huge packs of mutants, he experienced a "blowout" and on the verge of a scripted tearing, but he ran to the shelter. His name was Zhora the Hobo. Every time I came to Zaton I was glad that I saw him alive. Once he was almost killed by mercenaries, but I destroyed all of them and gave him some rare machine gun. I haven't seen him since, but I hope he's doing well.
@Хлюпа: From a role-playing perspective, it's moments like these that make NPCs stick in our memory.
When I was playing OGSR last year, there was this old gentleman in the rookie village who came to the Zone looking for his lost daughter in Pripyat. He asked me for help and I agreed to help him out of compassion.
But I was still a weak rookie and took weeks to strengthen myself. When I was strong enough to go to Pripyat, he got killed by the military who attacked the village but my quest was still active.
He may be dead, but I was still determined to help him. I fought my way to Pripyat, found his daughter's doll, fought back to the rookie village and laid the doll down at the very spot where the old gentleman stood waiting for his daughter.
That quest was still stuck unfinished in my PDA when I completed the game, but till this very day, I remember that old gentleman and I won't forget him.
If I see Zhora the Hobo in the Zone some day, I'll send him your best regards, stalker.
Wow, it is realy good!
