mini mod for DAR that makes dosimeter little bit more interactive by forcing it to show only environment radiation and giving an ability to perform self-scan action.

I'd advise against this way of thinking - modding is about tweaking the game to the state perfect for you, and even the smallest things can be quite important for someone. so let there be as much material as possible xd

is it possible to have this without all new devices req.( just Geiger) for v.1.5.1 with modded axes for that version old modded axes and why not,any solution? thanks

well it won't work without DAR cuz it relies on DAR hand placement.

If you edit file "gamedata/config/mod_system_zzzzliz_new_devices_geiger.ltx" and replace dependencies to DAR animations with vanilla animations, mod will work. But hands during animation will be too low compared to original hand positions and won't be visible on screen

yeah i manged to pull that out now i have animation and sound for check body rad. but lack of buttons switch and holster device sound and i still try to put device a bit lower in my hand and rotate it a bit to the ground, UI for device is perfect and easy readable and most important its working with 1.5.1 modded axes (probably will work and with original axes), i can send you this changes after i put device correctly for users who still play older version,maybe fixing sound for missing animation can be done, beside that device works almost perfect. small credit would be nice ''munja'', but not necessary that rotation thing is pain coze item hud position lack in game debugger,so i am changing it manually,?

try using draggable hud editor: Moddb.com

should be much easier to position item in hand with this addon. It should work with devices no problem. Just make sure you not holding any weapon in right hand.

If you'll make DAR work on Anomaly 1.5.1, I think it would be better if you contact author of the original mod for a permission to post it as separate addon.

Насколько я слышал, для DAR обязательно нужна последняя версия модифицированных exe. Удивительно что мод вообще запускается на 1.5.1

I love the mod however, mine appears to have bugged out. It's stopped showing me environmental radiation in both simple and advanced modes, still shows player radiation though.

Edit: It does work, just irradiated water in Yantar isn't picked up by the dosimeter in Environmental modes and neither are irradiated artifacts in the inventory. Being one of those radiation nerds, I LOVE this mod.

Yep, I guess this might be default anomaly dosimeter behavior. But I'll check just in case.

Please remove the ability to display information about radiation exposure on the screen when you press the "8" key, this will make the dosimeter even more useful and complicate the gameplay.

Why it does nothing even if I press left mouse button while holding it (no gun in other hand)? I use it with GAMMA. If I press left mouse button if changes mode, it doesn't to the body scan... :(

Does it plays animation when changing modes? If so, then try to check MCM settings of the mod. There should be an option to switch how dosimeter behaves when pressing left mouse button

In MCM I only have "Simple mode" option. If enabled, when the dosimeter is in my hand and I press left mouse button, it disappear for a while, then I see in the bottom of the screen a text saying it switched mode. If the "Simple mode" option is disabled, when I press left mouse button the dosimeter disappear for a while but nothing changes and even no text on the screen.
What am I missing?

you probably don't have DAR installed (devices of anomaly redone Moddb.com).
Without DAR it won't work. I mean, technically it works, but cuz device models from other mods have different hud model offset, hands might appear missing when animation plays. But it actually probably just somewhere outside of camera view.

probably not. Different animation packs for devices have different offsets. And this animations were based on DAR hand position. While technically mod will work, self-check and mode switch animations will be offset and likely will be somewhere offscreen

Hey I've noticed this sometimes doesn't pick up environmental radiation, I use dynamic radiation areas is it possible it doesn't register them properly?

Edit: Nvm the issue isn't related to this mod happens with default one too.

Love the mod just the environmental Rads detection is broke for me. I can check myself just fine. Animation plays is beautiful. Great work, but for some reason( I live in Pripyat) so the building I live in sometimes has radiation and I play with head gear animations, so I have to takeoff my mask to eat and drink so whenever I go to check the radiation around to see if I can or if I have to go outside it doesn’t show anything but when I take off my mask, I get a radiated so there’s radiation in my house, my geiger counter just doesn’t pick it up and I know it may probably be a problem with me. I might not have the latest version of Dar I think I do but I see posts and Gammas mod postings about newer versions so idk but I just wanted to let you know it also dosent work in water either (btw I am using gamma so maybe that could be an reason)

I heard that this issue might be related to mod that adds dynamic radiation zones. It's vanilla dosimeter issue. I just use default functions found in game code, to switch dosimeter from showing internal rad levels to environmental. I don't change it's behavior in any way
