Meh... not really my cup of tea, there are some positives to this map but they are outweighed by all the negatives. The design is pretty good and the weather is accurate but that is about all I think is good about this map, will not be keeping this one.
Could use some sky to ground action via starfighters or other flying vehicles and more polishing to the terrain and scenery, otherwise it was enjoyable, reminds me of the Storm force maps.
Adding starfighter is complicated on this map because with no cover the bombers will destroy every one and the map is too small for add starfighter. I haven't manage to extend the map because the water make the map crash, I don't know how add more water yet.
I'm still working on this map, and 3 others with 2 or 3 new maps as idea, thank you for your comment. ^^
It's an awesome map, any chance of changing the damage dealt by weapons? The atmosphere of the battle is really awesome, but I feel like it should be harder to get close to the cliff from the republic point of view.
I will change the damage of the turret and add droids marine instead of droids assault and add more defense on the weakest point of the beach. But I don't think I will add soon custom side there is other project for this map ^^
Also, my condolences on your cat Musile, RIP. :-(
thanks
Its good.
And a sandbank wall with command posts to help with the advance up the beach. A map more like the beach in Saving Private Ryan.
Fun map actually, I love the sniping, but as of right now, I am just going to assume it is being tested because there are some small issues with the look of everything. Maybe that sounds very negative, I don't mean it to be, I do like it, I am just saying there is more to be done. A big issue is render distance, which is kind of balanced out by the water (nice touch actually). One thing I do recommend is using fog to help kind of hide the render distance. I accidentally made my map too big and I fixed a lot of it with fog settings (if you need help it is in the data_"3 letters"\world\"3 letters"\world1 . It is just in a file called "3 letters".sky and you can change it with notepad (you probably already know how to do this, but that was just in case). Here is what my first few lines look like (I dont remember when but I changed the range to fit better):
Enable(1);
FogColor(95,111,126);
FogRange(12.5, 12.5);
thanks for the feedback, yeah it's a test to have the more feedback for improved all my maps. Your idea of fog is good, I'm working on this problem without fog yet but if i don't find any solution you give me a good idea !
