Im looking for someone who can translate ammo descriptions to russian, if someone has the time to do it please send me your work, it would be highly appreciated :)
About add-on:
- Overhaul of ammo descriptions and icons, icons are now single bullets instead of boxes and now ammo text descriptions uses proper and more realistic ammo designations:
- M855, M995, M80, M993 and so on for NATO ammo.
- P, PS, PST, PT, BS, BP, SNB and so on for warsaw pact ammo.

Changelog:
V1/V2 - 03/05/22 - Added DLTX option, DLTX link here: Moddb.com (fixes bullet icons not showing in hud) / Edited PKM ammo icon.
V3 - 04/05/22 - Added new custom icon for 7.62x54 PKM ammo made by Hellblau (thank you very much) :)
V4 - 04/05/22 - Edited Bull slug shells, they are no longer named "Bull" now they can be called "RIP" slug shells (Radically Invasive Projectile).
V5 -10/05/22 - Few edits and fixes in some icons/descriptions (make sure to delete the add-on completly and install it fresh in your anomaly).
Recommended add-ons:
- GBOOBS (highly recommended because ammo descriptions use BR russian penetration sistem).
- Mags redux (single bullet icons go well with mags redux).

idk why but this addon reminded me about the small boxes from Tarkov that give you some ammo once you use them, if i learn how to code the thing and make some proper icons for it i guess it would be satisfying to use it along with this addon of yours and mags redux
anyway, thanks for the addon stalker, the new descriptions are perfect and the new icons are what i always have been looking for, single bullets and shells deserve some love

I have grok's ballistic overhaul installed, is there any issue installing this one after? Because ballistic overhaul changes ammo and there are different ones like AP, etc
No conflicts in my end, it actually works with it
is actually meant to be played along with gboobs, theres not conflict with it btw, just overwrite the text files gboobs has with this ones you will be just good :)

what about 50 BMG ?
all ammo descriptions and icons are completly overhauled with new ones, even the rare ones like 4.6x30mm ammo and 5.7x28mm P90 ammo

Open file M82 (GAME/gamedata/confing/item/weapon/M82)
find in the file "12.7x55_fmj, 12.7x55_fmj_bad..." etc. and change it to "50_bmg, 50_bmg_bad, 50_bmg_verybad"

Yeah maybe, personally I don't really like the deviation from the "single bullet in the icon" thing. I could make an icon with a belt and send you the file if you'd like!

Nice work! Would it be possible to make a version where just the icon text says AP, HP or FMJ? It would make it a lot easier to differentiate between ammo types quickly.
Main goal is to not use those designations, instead replace them with real ammo designations and names for more in-game immersion, and ofc this addon is meant for those who are lovers of firearms ammunition.
Having to check the tooltip of a bullet to know if it is AP or FMJ is not really immersive, though. ;) But to each their own, still thank you for the response!

it should work on the go if installed of top of EFP, there is a DLTX version available in the addons folder
Loving the new descriptions and icons, easily 10/10 for me. I also downloaded your realistic ammo description and overhaul before it was put down. Had a nice experience aside from getting one shot from any shotgun, so I just removed the line for 12x70 buck and carried on.
Might I interest you with the concepts of this Moddb.com addon? Basically it changes old ammo to something different and useful, but sadly its discontinued.
main reason i delete the old addon it was because it needed a lot of patches and work so i decided to do it from scratch and make new icons without all the problematic patches :)

hello rex, i`ve set the mod up with JSGME and for some reason the icons are the same, any idea what i should do? i really like the idea of thIs mod but cant enjoy it...
In your "BaS patch" optional description file "st_items_ammo_bas_eng.xml", .338 Federal ammo has the .338 Lapua Magnum description - they are not the same thing.

Can we have the icon file without text and/or with only the caliber, as an addon? I'd like to make a version for the vanilla ammo names, I'm not a big fan of it being 100% ripped from Tarkov. It makes way more sense for 7N6 rounds to show up in the Zone than PS rounds, but it makes sense in Tarkov.
Would you be alright with me making a vanilla version of this and linking+crediting your mod?
Yeah that's what bothered me too, I just want the icon not the tarkov like description. But i think you can make your own without based on this, you just need to use the ammo icon from tarkov wiki and know how to set up icon override i think. Pls make one if you can, you got my vote!
They are the same ammo just different ammo designation, i decided to use P, PS, BT, BP, etc ammo designation because is way more simple and easy to remember than GAU or GRAU index ammo designation systems (7N22, 7N14, 7N1, etc)
They're different ammo, the new ones are modern Russian ammo straight from EFT and the old ones are dirt-common Soviet ammo that makes sense in the Zone (and personally I'm a fan of the GRAU index system), but honestly this is acceptable, the icons are really nice and clean and pair very well with the mags mod.
i get it, if you want to make a addon similar to this one feel free to do it man, no worries at all :)
Yeah thanks, I really love your mod, I'd love to make my own icon set if I can, replicating some USSR ammo with pictures, EFT icons, and my editor. Good hunting Stalker! :)
