Description
This mod adds "Highlighted Background Colors," which basically highlights items by category with a specific color (e.g., green for patches, red for bandages, brown for ammo, etc.) I chose the colors that made the most sense to me.

this is like highlight new items or like highlighted items depending on their category? like ammo, weapons, meds and the highlight never goes away etc

Now with addons easier to find some items.. yeah, standard inventory with 1000 items looks like garbage, can't find what you need.

MO2's saying that a file from Sorting Plus is being overwritten (which is some "persistent highlight" file), should it be fine (which I assume is, since this highlight mod's overwriting sorting plus's highlight file)?
Yea, it's fine; was being just being overly cautious.
it use the persistent highlight as a base so if you have sorting plus you can even remove the one inside this mod and be fine :D
I know that now, but at the moment of the original post I didn't know it was "safe" (though one file being overwritten doesn't really make it "dangerous"); but figured I would at least mention the seemingly minor incompatibility with this and "Sorting Plus".
That script is a sort of false conflict. There are at least 4 addons with identical copies of it. Since they are identical it doesn't matter which one gets used just as long as there is a copy present.

I would love to see you make it so the favorite background color from the "Sorting Plus" mod takes priority, or use the background color from that for favorites. I'm not sure if that is possible though.

I have a question that is not really related, but maybe you could know ! If I may :
Is it possible to change the default selected item highlight ? (I’m playing gamma, can’t recall if it’s the same in Anomaly.) I find it a bit dim, a bit too weak to clearly see what item I’m on !
