I have a question, what is the reason for the expansive interior? Is it an Easter egg for anyone who decides they want to take a look at the rooms beyond the Death Star hangar, or does it serve a purpose?
I wonder about that too... bt still the works put in this map are outstanding
Maybe an easter egg? VERY BIG easter egg, give to someone who really appreciate the map they made. :P (I was smiling so much when I found the jail room and the power plant Obi-wan disabled)

Developer - also, did you guys make it possible to drop the bomb into Thermal exhaust port? and how can I do it??? I try it 4 times with one time just fly straight down to the spot and still fail. TT
I don't think that's possible :(
You should totally make it possible to instantly end the game by shooting the exhaust port. You should do this but not make it too easy. Maybe make the port really small or add extra Tie Fighters near it.

As per description
This is just a re-upload from Gamefront to preserve the map, ie likely original modder has long ago moved on to other things.
If there are things one wants probably have to de-mung the map and add changes and then do an upload as another file to the effect this is an edited version of this map
Thanks for uploading this. At one point Gamefront was a go-to but since many changes much interesting stuff has been lost / buried and it is well that some of that can be recovered
This map is just about having fun with a key moment in star wars using the Space assault type winning elements.
There are some bugs, for example the Rebels keep ramming and dying on the turrets on Yavin and one Tie Fighter will leave one hanger and smash into the other. Since the mod author isn't around around, if another wants to give it a crack, I would suggest moving the turrets and the hangers. Also make the exhaust port the Life Support system with huge HP.
Other than that, it IS fun to run that trench with an X wing and trying not to die
