Please tell me what are the changes in addon_scopes.ltx for? Shouldn't changes to weapon_scopes.ltx be enough?
the changes to both files are "mostly" the same. They both fix the [scope_detector] section at the top of the files. Why do you want to remove the addon_scope file? I don't know how exactly it will change things, but your welcome to try it without that file, worst thing it will do is just make it so the detector scopes don't work again
I have the weapon_scopes.ltx corrected in the same way installed and this allows the SVD detector to work. I was interested in what the other file is for, since you wrote "some" scopes and it is possible that some other weapon should work with it?
the other file is mostly there to ensure that this is compatible with the other Addon I'm working on lol. However, I also included it just in case some scope in-game relies on it for detectors, I don't know if it does tho

Only thing that doesn't feel right is any weapon with a PU scope will use the detector, this includes Mosin–Nagant, SVT-40 and SKS.
**** really? I must have forgotten to remove that, I was using the PU for testing, my bad. I'll release a fix for it soon.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. This is not an original fix. This guy did not discover how to do this. There are tons of posts about this being fixed by adding a simple script to the game. Upon searching for a mod using the name of the actual in game module, nothing appears. I have only deleted your comments from my post because you continue to harass me about something you know nothing of, nor the scripting behind. I would appreciate if you actually took the time to understand the entire story instead of just shitposting all over moddb saying "this guy stole this! this guy stole this!" no, THIS guy stole this. He isn't the first to come up with this. The add on seems to have trouble with Nimbles svd with 1p59 scope, causes crashes.
How to add detector ability to other scopes/ rifles?
Is there a tutorial somewhere?
