Stall Speed: Landing is at around 300kts. Dropping below that speed will cause the F18 to begin sinking and it may be difficult to recover.
Taxiing: If you fly with a joystick you can taxi the aircraft on the ground by moving the stick forwards, backwards, and side to side.

I really want people to get the most out of the mod, and I realise that it's quite challenging if you're not used to playing hardcore tactical mode.
I play a lot of tactical rts games, and always I hate when there's no clear tutorial!

It would be great maybe if you shared some aerobatic/dogfight tactics, say, for example, the Cobra Maneuverer: While not exactly 1:1 possible in BF2 thanks to game limitations, a somewhat similar approach can be done. Then some many other basic fighter maneuvers and all. Those can be really helpful!

Coming from an aviation/flightsim background I think that air to air combat is the weakest aspect of bf2. My friend Mortarty, another aviation nut, has done extensive coding work on the flight dynamics of BF2 aircraft, but there are huge limitations.
The fact that the maps are so small doesn't help. But the way that fast jets can turn as if they're WW1 biplanes is totally ridiculous.
That's one of the reasons why I have my BF2 aircraft set up for CAS.
The other reason is that dogfighting aircraft contribute virtually nothing to the overall battle.
However, my video maker, Dukern, yet another aviation nut, is working on a CAS tutorial video for the F18. Hopefully you'll enjoy that.
Please don't let my negative view of BF2 dogfighting put you off making suggestions though. 😀
Oh I understand no worried 😀. Still, this isn't gonna stop me from editing and modding missiles to BVRM enemy jets and become a dogfight master in mods like PR and IDF mod xD.
