Nothing beats working with Open Source engines IMO, so none of them.

Hey, don't make fun of my polls, I'm new. :\

Besides, anything is better than the past generic ones like "Will you ever write a tutorial?"

STALKER all the way. Most innovative mod utility set for any mod/game developer to put their imaginations to use.

X-Ray the way it's meant to be made.

Nothing like a little OpF modding, and with armed assault having updated graphics, DX9 support, and more features, it just cant seem to be released soon enough for me.

Errr why no UT2007?

That'll be the game to mod for with the leetness that is UnrealEd, and the ease of importing custom models/textures.

Quake IV came a very close second, but Stalker wins for most original and innovative gameplay concept (random encounters, a huge world to investigate, actually needing to find radiation treatment in order to survive from day to day, etc., etc., ad infinitum).

Personally I'm not even waiting for Unreal Engine 3.0 to be released, I've started modding already ;)

Also just as a heads-up to all you people.
Gears of War will be released mid-2006 which uses the Unreal 3.0 Engine.

Oblivion, definetely. Quake 4 is in a line of games I have never liked, STALKER is probably vaporware by now, although it definetely looks interesting, I completely detest FEAR as well as Serious Sam 2 and CoD2, so there's no way I would buy the game or even pirate it in order to mod it.

Morrowind was extremely mod friendly and Bethseda says Oblivion will be even better, plus I am a huge fan of Morrowind, so Oblivion really isn't that hard a choice for me.

Should have included AoE3, although I'm not sure about its Mod-ability...might even have to move Sith War over there if its friendly enough.

"Probably because UT2007 is set to come out.....in 2007"

It's due in 2006, just like Stalker, Oblivion etc.

UT2003 was released in 2002, Fifa 2006 will be released in 2005. See a trend here?

UT2007 OWNS ALL. NO CONTEST. GOODNIGHT.

Honestly, Quake 4 is looking much better than Fear, I've played fear and its a good game and all but Quake has always been more ahead.

Vote for Quake 4. ;)

Most of the people haven't actually paid any attention to the poll's question and are instead answering what game are they most looking foward to.

Amckern, Prey I think you are looking for.

Me, Stalker or Obilivion. RPG mods all the way. Particularlly those AI systems for NPCS.

Mmmmmmmm......

UT2007 is set to release "Early 2006" according to Epic, last I heard anyway. I'm looking forward to UE3 quite a bit, but I recall Morrowind being so darn fun to make plugins for that I'm gonna have to go with Oblivion this time.

you'll get about as many mods for it as you do THPS3 or deus ex 2

I too am waiting for F.E.A.R. I like the game's physics a lot and the sounds are incredible! I would like to make an orginal in depth-mod of some kind that changes the gameplay entirely.
