It had to be multiplayer teams for me but I must say that this was a damn tight decision. Personally I like playing with other humans, hence single player was generally ruled out though I do love co-op. The only reason why I choose multiplayer teams, is because when you do well it isn't just yourself who is proud, but you generally gain the respect of everyone you are playing with. Having said that deathmatch is good, because you get to shoot whatever moves ;)
single player all the way. partially because i have a 28k internet connection, but mostly becuz people who play multiplayer games are the annoying "1337 h4x04 d00ds" who i dispise. Good single player mods, although more scarce, are far better than good multiplayer mods. Single player mods like . ;)
I have to agree with the point that 1 lamer really can wreak a multiplayer experience which has happened more times than not to me.
I love SP, and I love Co-Op. I attribute this to the fact that I hate 56k dialup, since it lags when you play DooM of all things.

Naah, but a SP MP combo usually has weaker multiplayer...ah well. SP rocks ;)
Tis true, which is why i choose multiplayer only :D you guys are all loners, gotta play against other people or is it just cos of your net connection. I have had broadband for a few years now so i can hardly remeber the pain of slowness :D
love a good SP, like ETC, Poke646, Xidia, etc.. but nothing can beat a 8v8 Counterstrike match on Dust2! :) SP and Multiplayer is my vote...
The decision was quite easy: SP pure. Reason?
There are really no more good MP games out there. To be honest, what can you do? DM, Team-Match, Bots? That's it! Mostly all MP's I've seen now have been all the same just with different weapons and items. Bit that really doesn't rock me since a long time. The last MP which I really loved and played was AHL. Since then the MP scene has disappointed me badly. No fresh ideas just old coffee newly boiled.
In SP on the other hand I found a lot of gems like Poke646, T2DEF or some others. SP mods still are able to surprise me with new stories, new ideas and beautiful maps.
That's why I voted for SP pure. I hope the MP scene changes in the future but I'm sadly convinced, no.
multi and single...as weird as it may sound,but im getting bored from mplayer games fast 0_o that's when splayer comes in handy!
ive chosen mp and sp... only sp is silly (and very much work for the dev. team for a one time play) and with mp it has a future... and a cool story is never bad...
i think Co-Op is a heap of fun with a few mates, because it's an SP scenario rather than an MP scenario (which is repeated over and over and is very predictable! - e.g de_dust)

Providing it's a decent team without a llama who acts OMG IG OT T3H H1SC0R3!, TKers, people who think it's deathmatch etc. then you can't beat teams. CS, DoD, NS, SI, TFC, all team based and all popular, and all except CS (which is full of the aforementioned) are brilliant.
