What i think would eb a great idea is that there should eb an moddb expo, where all the mod makers go to show off their mods, wouldnt that just eb cool? even end up having a major LAN were everyone plays the beta versions multiplayer, trade ideas, get new concepts ect..
It'd have my vote if it was held in America, but that obviously wouldn't be the case. :P
I'm heading to E3 next year. It's very sad that I won't be able to visit while it's a huge event, but if it means a much more personal attachment to the games themselves, then I'm for it, I suppose.
And just what in godsname would you show in ModDB Expo? Mods? Like 90% of all mods never make it to 1.0 and most of em suck *** anyways. ModDB expo would either have the best mods, and thus being a very small event, or all mods taht wish to participate and have one huge show filled with crap.
And so why is it that you bother even coming here, again?
I think it would be an awesome idea. Something on a small scale where modders could get together and chat , share ideas, progress on their projects. It wouldn't have to be about pimping how much better your mod was than everyone else's it could just be a kind of "networking" exercise.

It'd probably be easier to have a sorta 'online' moddbexpo. Yeah yeah i imagine some tosspots already saying "duh how would that be any diff from moddb?!?", but I mean 3 days straight with planned media/features on each day, something for mod teams to work towards in regarding to creating substantial content and whatnot. Sort of like that feature the Return to Mana team uploaded the other day from their TV interview but.... more of it. I'll be quiet now
Potentially such a thing could work if done properly. Regarding E3 i dont see it as being a problem, to quote cliffyB :
"I had a real love/hate relationship with E3. It was our Superbowl, but it got to the point where it really just wasn't worth it anymore. The best place to show off any game is in a dark room. You need something more intimate. Something that is pretty much the antithesis of E3. But don't get me wrong, I'm gonna miss what it was. In its own way, it helped legitimize the business. It was the one thing where your mom could turn on CNN and see news about video games. That meant something. "
Pretty much my opinion, but he stole it from me. Yes he did, ask God.
A ModDB Expo should include something where the Pros come and hold "How To..." events for their game engines in addition to the Mods being on display and other things. I'd hit that!
ModDB expo would be cool mod makers showing off what they doing maybe some big name publishers show up offer to make your Mod into a full game awesomness
GDC > E3, I like watching tech demos and listening to game devlopers talk about design and things. :P
Sure, I've never actually been to either one, but watched the GDC on the net was always better than watching a video of a game with no techie Direct X 10 shader programming talk. XD
the moon?Go 2 mars or spmtin far away were we can liv 2 hav fun moddin stuf

E3 is just a media-***** fest, a mod expo would be nice to see.
Probably the best way to go about that is put up a large article or something showcasing the best mods released in past year, and the most promising ones coming out within the next few months.
Never been to an e3, so I'm missing nothing. Except the Booth Babes. :P
Seriously, apart from the media releases that occurs with e3, it's not that good anyways. I usually find out about a whole host of the up'n'comings from e3, but I guess that info would be pushed around to other formats. (like the GDC)
maybe something like deviantart did a while back.
ModDB expo would be a good chance for young devs to make it ahead in life ... good for them, i say make it!

it wont come out or it will have to be a migrating event cuz the meders here are from all over the world

I'd get along to a ModDB Expo if it was in Australia.
I'd love to see a ModDB expo. Come on guys, let's do it.XD
And so why is it that you bother even coming here, again?

Would have my vote, anyway.
Moddb expo is a gr8 idea!
E3 Go home
ModDB Expo would kick ***!
I was leaning more toward Who cares cause "civlians" can't go any way but I though meh what the hell.

First the ECTS. Now the E 3. But who cares as long as the Games Convention is still alive?
Now that's an interesting concept.... the ModDB Expo :O
Mod DB Expo ???????
Where?? Gimmy>> Expo!
What did deviantart do a while back?
that kinda sucks, i mean i never went, but still
its just E3 comon its not that important
moddb should have an expo!
ModDB expo ftw!! xd
E3 was overrated marketing convention, it stopped being a trade show a long time ago.
Moddb expo ftw!
well then the next poll should be where do you want the moddb expo to be? good idea eh? i mean if yall are really serious about it.
Who cares?

(tongue in cheek context intended for previous post)

the loss of e3 should mean the loss of rushed bad games!
Wishfull thinking.
Everyone, just pretend what Koroshiya_Ichi said I said too, because I agree with every word of it.
It will be held on the Moon, because we are that awesome.

ModDb expo. 'Nuff said.
Australian Moddb expo. Nuff Said :P
I'm quite astounded at the percentage of people who seem to thing this is a major blow to the industry
*think, my apologies! Terrible illiteracy

More interested in GDC to be honest. E3 was always a load of flashing lights and people shouting stuff, capitalism abounding
Anyway, what about this ModDB Expo eh, that would be absolutely amazing :D
ALL IS LOST!
ModDB Expo for the win! =D
Who cares?

a mad-expo is realy a GREAT idea!!
ModDb expo for sure. I would definitely attend. *Thinks of Mod booths and developers jumping up to try them out*
Heaven sent I tell ya!
MODDB EXPO!!!!!!!! GENIEOUS GENIE OUS I SAY!
