Space Coop now suport xml files that will allow mapers to customize a map more in detail regarding general enemy and weapon stats, player stating equipment and health. It's worth mentioning that there will be no "logic" suport and that this is not a way to script. All forms of scriping are still done in the hammer and more advanced changes will be done trough code. The reason for not choosing scriptsuport is becouse scripts coause constant slowdowns while static data only have to be loaded once and then is done. One "custom" pistol and smg are planed. Where the maper will be able to select model world & view, firerate and damage type and name to be used for that specifik map. Later maybe all weapons will be handled trough xml and entire weponpacks can be choosen kinda like in goldeneye for n64 or halo 2 and some other console games.
