'Tis true! Xmas is once again going forward!
Here is a bit of info on the current status of Xmas:

-During the summer, i was asked to help out a mod called Hostile Intent which i have been following for the last 3 years.
They have been plagued with team problems and slow progress for months and they asked me to help. I could not refuse. So i have been lending a hand in the modeling department on their side for the last few months. Things have been going great and their first public release should be soon.
If i say anymore, they may have to kill me...

-As for Xmas, I have been gearing up for a public release yet again for December 24 2003! Hopefully, since HL2 has recently been announced to be a "holiday release", people will still play Half-Life and appreciate all of the hard work that i have put into this mod by downloading it and having fun :)

-Model wise, Xmas has received face-lifts all over. From player models to weapons and especially world models, they've all had some improvements done on them.
New skins, new anims, new effects... you name it, i've done it!

-I would also like to welcome Tom, Xmas' first official contributor! As you know, i am making Xmas by myself. But i do not refuse community involvement in any way. In fact, i encourage it! I am making Xmas for YOU, the HL community.

Anyway, he has already started 2 maps for HL to boast the current map count from 1... to 3 ! :D

If you've got christmas themed stuff somewhere on your hard drive, be it sounds, maps, models or even just a simple sprite which you have made yourself, feel free to send me a Private message! Your contribution will be fully noted in the credits and there may even be something a little extra in Xmas for people who help out! (Instagib candy-cane anyone? :devil: )

-On the coding side of things, some weapons are going to work differently:

The ever-so-loved Egon is getting completely replaced. By what? You'll have to wait and see!

The Dawalt Super nailgun (replacing the hornetgun) now actually fires nails but only for a limited distance. The closer your enemy is, the more damage the more damage your weapon will deal. Also, it will allow you to push enemy around due to it's high velocity.
