Once again, people are claiming that we're done with this project. Once again we're here to clarify things.

Project Amnesia: Fear in Hands started August 2 of 2012. It has been a little bit more than 3 years making this game and people are getting nervous because the game hasn't been released yet. We from Blaster Lizard study in an university, and we all make games. We have already worked in other games and only we know how hard and complicated it is to make one. It require us time, patience and a lot of organization. It doesn't depend only in us but in a lot of different factors. Blaster Lizard isn't the only team behind this game. We have the voice actors/actress that gives life to all the characters of our game, we have third-party programmers, we have musicians that works in the original soundtrack of the game. We really understand that since this is a mod, it should be considered a smaller project, but it's not that way for us. Since we've began developing A:FiH, we have already helped in the development of other two games (Rocket Up by Wlasak Studios, released yesterday in Play Store and Kraven Manor by Demon Wagon Studios, released back in 2013).

Something unforeseen always happens and our team is not really that big. Blaster Lizard is a twelve people partnership company but not 100% of the team works full time in all the projects. When Frictional Games released SOMA, we knew that our time was short and soon The Dark Descent would be forgotten by modders and players (and we weren't expecting less, since the game came out 5 years ago). We would have lost the golden opportunity and that's why we decided to remake it into the HPL 3.0 engine, as a SOMA's custom story. The Amnesia models worked, the particles worked, the voice acting is done, the scripting is not much that different, the mapping was almost 100% done and we would even get the opportunity to test the new mechanics that SOMA had to offer. This would be a golden opportunity.

We are ready to say that the are getting close to a release. We have not said that before. There still are plenty of work to do because we feel that this game deserves more work. We see a lot of potential in what we're doing and we have decided to take a break releasing the news articles here in ModDB just because we don't want to make your hype even bigger. We are happy to say that we are making progress in this game everyday and when the game releases you will all going to love it. I ask for patience. I know it's hard and I know that you're all anxious to try it. We've promised a demo for 2016 and this will happen. We've promised a small short-movie inspired in our game and it will be released Q1 2016. Do not worry... We're not dead.

Not exactly. The demo doesn't have an official release date yet. Q1 2016 is the release date of the small short-movie inspired by Amnesia: Fear in Hands, called Spring of the Universe.

"We have already worked in other games and only we know how hard and complicated it is to make one." You only and no-one else?

Everyone envolved in this industry sooner or later realizes that to make a good game its required time, patience and a lot of focus. We aim to release a finished mod, bugless and with all the features that we've promised.

Danm it takes a long time to make "mods"? Then how much time does it take to make a full beautiful-looking great game like GTA5, Saint Row 4, or Amnesia The Dark Decent and SOMA?!
I better prepare my patience now if I wanna become a Game Developer!

It depends of how far your ambition goes. How large is your team or the team you're working on. How large is your game and how much stuff you have to take care of during the development process... Triple A games takes basically the same time to make as indie games because its relatively proportional in terms of general quality, game length and number of features. Yeah... I advise you to prepare your patience, really. HAHA
