Tell us what gameplay you would like to see in RUIN.

One of the things that inspired this game from the beginning has been the revival of the gameplay seen in System Shock 2. But it's a given that we want to stand on our own as well, and give players a new experience, despite staying true to SS2.

What would you like to see in our game that you didn't see in SS2? Are there elements of other titles that you would like to see incorporated? Tell us on this post, our page or our Twitter. We would love to hear from you.

What about proper balancing?
SS2 was unforgiving and unfair in this regard. If you leveled "wrong" early in the game, the later part could feel like trying to bring down a concrete wall with your bare hands. Unfortunately there was no way of telling if you chose the wrong skill.

The biggest gripe I had with SS2 is that the developers could have done much more in the variation-department.
It's one of the things the original Deus Ex did much better. Same gameplay mechanics, but vastly different environments. That forced the players to adapt their strategies accordingly.

Variation is the spice of life after all. :)

Thanks for the input! We're definitely looking to keep our game fair, and I know exactly what you mean...took 3 tries to actually make it through the game. Rest assured that the game will definitely make use of balance.
