Hello loyal fans!!!!
Firstly I need to apologize. things have benn very quiet these past few months and with good reason. My computer hard-drive, bless her soul, has well and truely deied. This ment that we lost everything. Models, code, projectiles, particles, you name it. The brunt of the bad news out of the way i am happy to say that the orginal Great Galactic War mod is now back on track. I am now the new owner of a laptop equipped with i7 quad core, 8gb ram and a gt 630 2gb video card. I have a demo that will be uploaded as soon as i hear back from my team members about their respective contributions to the mod. This may however take some time, as Avenger, our spectacular mapper, is currently serving in the war overseas. I also have the majority of the space portion of the mod done, needing only to replace the models ive lost. That being said, lets take a look at what to expect in the demo.
New particles.
The majority of these are from the Farseer, with the turbolasers and other missile weaponary being heavily editted by me.
New maps.
As mentioned before, Avenger has been doing a wonderful job with these new maps, and i cant wait for you all to play them. They are really great.
New Skins.
Darth_grave has all the skins that will be used in the demo and has been working on them and refining them, making sure that they are to a good high standard.
New units.
Each faction will gain 5 new units for the demo. In space the Sith Faction gets the Harrower dreadnought, the Terminus frigate, and the Isf interceptor. The Republic gain the Valor class capital ship, the hammerhead cruiser, and the Aruek interceptor. On land each faction recieves 2 'classes' from The Old Republic game. The sith get the Imperial agent and the Sith Juggernaut, while the Republic get the Smuggler and the Jedi Gaurdian.

An entire new Galactic map, provided by 237th_SC_Com_Bly.

(ps, if anyone can tell me how to take screenshots of the game using windows 7 64bit that'd be really great so i can show you some of the cool stuff thats going on)
GREAT to hear you and your team are back, my thought to the serving member as well. Since all that good stuff was lost ( my condolences...i once plugged a laptop charger into my PHDD three times, switching the power on and off in panic,,,lost 1.5 terra of games movies etc etc lol ) Will the mod be less then it could of been now?

Glad to hear your back! And if you want to take a screenshot in the game, just hit "F12" key. The game saves screenshots to "C:\Users\(Username)\Saved Games\Petroglyph\Empire At War - Forces of Corruption\ScreenShots", but in a format called TGA. I use a program called "IrfanView" to open these screenshots and save them as JPGs.
Its weird it shows that there is nothing in saved games file
That is weird. You sure you went through the right path? Did you use Paint to go through the path? Paint won't find the screenshots because it doesn't support the format the screenshots are in.
I go into saved games and i get a message saying this folder is empty
okay, here's something I didn't think of: maybe the key binding for it isn't set. Go into the options menu of the game, then controls, and then, I think it's under interface "take screenshot" or something like that.
