Post news RSS video update and screenshots

So I have managed to work some more on the map while I was on spring break ( last week ) and some little more this weekend. Here is a video showing you the next step in the fight scene where the player is in the helicopter. Also notice how I changed helicopters. I now use the helicopter that was used in the "airlift" mission were the nuke goes off. The player also gets to used the mark19 instead of the mini gun, which I had shown in earlier versions.

Please enjoy this video. The first part of the video shows you the new fight scene ( in the works ) and the second half shows you what the helicopter looks like when i rip it in half. I plan to make it fall to the ground while the player is in it. :) enjoy:

I hope that i can continue working on this map before the summer gets here and hopefully get this map done by then. Enjoy the news for the time being guys.

You've made a lot of progress, but you need a way more overlaid battle track. You want to mask distinctive sounds - that loud whistling shell noise you have in there is extremely distracting because it's so loud and easy to identify. Take that same track and overlay it on itself at random different times, slightly out of phase, drop the volume a TON, throw in some explosions to show what happens when some of the shells hit something. Then throw in more! :)

thanks for the feedback.I will address some things and then I will ask you to clarify one thing. The reason the mortar shells are so loud is because of that same reason, I want the player to know that he is under pressure, that he needs to worry about them as well. I do know what you mean about showing some explosions, that I can do. Maybe even show a few buildings getting knocked down. that always seems like a plan. :) What do you mean by "a more overlaid battle track"? I will try to always change things in my map as i see things fit. Assuming it wont take much time to do and watnot. Once again thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

each time you have made a huge progress on this map when i see another update. great work, and i love the overall action in this part with the heli. such mapparts make you sit straight in you're chair when you play it, specially for the first time, lol.

about the loud whistling shell noise, that InvertedVantage comments on, personally i liked that part a whole lot. the sound of it is hard, i agree. but that made it all so more hectic and exciting!!
so, i don't agree with that this should be changed. i thought it was one of the many things that made this part a extra special experience!
