A release announcement for the compatibility hotfix of the 1.3 version of A GUI Mod for BioShock: Remastered.

Hey everybody!

With the release of the new 2K launcher integration update to BioShock: Remastered, new changes were introduced, and caused a whole lot of issues with the current version of the mod.

Fortunately, the GOG version has been untouched, and retains the pre-2K launcher files. I have included eight new files into the mod in order to restore compatibility with the Steam, and Epic Games versions. If there are any issues, please let me know, and I'll do my best to fix.

I want to thank RESENTMENT, ta de hack, and cRVD12 for play testing this hotfix!

I apologize for not having released an update for the mod this year. I've been caught up in life, and other projects. While I can't promise anything new this year, please know that version 1.4 is next in line after I am finished my current project.

Wow, as if I didn't need anymore reasons to not bother with the Bioshock 1 & 2 remasters, the very least they could've done is fix all the remaining bugs and glitches instead of slapping on some tacked-on half-arsed launcher (I hate it when PC games do that rubbish), thank god that I can still obtain the original versions... 😾

I of course mean no disrespect or sense of undermining your efforts on fixing up these remasters, but god I just hate it when devs or publishers force in unnecessary crap like this into their games (one of several reasons that I always purchase from GOG).

Hello! I agree with you for sure, and no offense taken. I also criticize the remastered version for it's lack of polish, and care. The GOG version is the definitive remastered version of the game in my opinion too.
