Rough cut video of the mod in action. Intern in a train.

Posted by on

It is probably a bit unfair to let you see this vid as the project is still suffering after the SDK update. It seemed such a waste to leave it degrading on my hard drive though and after some consideration I thought it might be interesting to show this rough cut.

The set piece was designed as a player flashback to explain a part of the story.

I used FRAPS to capture short segments and stuck them together, that is why it is clipped in places. The final version would have been a HL2 demo vid but then I discovered that Faceposer and scene files were broken.

It is still my intention to complete the project but I am not sure how I can get around the issues. Thanks for your interest and I apologise for the tease, Quin.

Just a shame that the video is so dark.

This would be so awesome with actual voice actors. The script is great.

And the award for best voice actor goes to... lol

The synth voices were (natch) just place holders to create a rough timing for the scene actors and to test the script. We have had a few offers from some good sounding VA's but until it was closer to completion and a fuller script was in the bag, it wasn't the time to ask them to get involved.

Thanks for all your comments though, MS Sam and co appreciate it. :)

Quin.
