HOUSE STARK

overview of house stark:
• Light troops - normal time to recruit, normal strength, normal moral. Cheap.
• Heavy troops - long recruitment times, good strength, great moral. Costly

• Light ranged - normal recruitment times, short ranged, weak melee and ranged, weak moral. Cheap
• Heavy ranged - normal recruitment times, long ranged, weak melee but strong ranged, weak moral. Costly.
• Crossbowmen - long recruitment times, short ranged, strong melee and ranged, good moral. Costly.

• Light cavalry - long recruitment times, weak armour, weak attack, weak charge, okay moral. Cheap.
• Heavy cavalry - long recruitment times, good armour, good attack, good moral strong charge. Costly

Melee Units:

Northern Swordsmen

• Northern Swordsmen - One of the lower tier units in this mod, being one of the first units to be recruitable for house stark. Good attack and okay defence.

Northern Spearmen

• Northern Spearmen - Less likely to kill a unit and more likely to hold them back, good defence and okay attack.

Northern Pikemen

• Northern Pikemen - Recruitable at later stages, the pikemen excel at anti cavalry and are useful to hold a line by keeping the enemy at a distance, however they have a weaker attack. Excellent attack against cavalry, good defence, poor attack against foot soldiers.

Northern Halberds

• Northern Halberds - One of the highest tier units in this mod, they have a good attack against cavalry and an okay attack against foot soldiers. Their halberds are good at keeping the enemy at a distance giving them a good defence.

Stark Swordsmen

• Stark Swordsmen - An alternative to the northern swordsmen, only recruitable at Winterfell by the Starks. Good attack and good defence with a large moral buff. Can form a schiltrom to defend from all sides.

Stark Spearmen

• Stark Spearmen - An alternative to the northern spearmen, only recruitable at Winterfell by the Starks. Good attack, and good defence with a large moral buff. Can form a spear wall to add extra defence.

• {other region specific units} - Perhaps later on i will add region specific units that will look very similar but the stats change according to where it is they are from.

Ranged Units:

Northern Bowmen

• Northern archers - Short ranged, low ammo, weak defence and weak attack. A low tier ranged unit that h all round bad statistics. None the less they can be used to skirmish and are likely to pick off a few enemy's before they reach them.

Northern Longbowmen

• Northern longbowmen - Slightly longer ranged unit with better ranged attack, more ammo and a slightly better melee attack. Great skirmishers and can use flame arrows. Good ranged attack, poor melee attack and okay range.

Stark Longbowmen

• Stark longbowmen - Long ranged unit, carries same amount of ammo as standard longbowmen. Good ranged attack, better than standard longbowmen, okay melee attack. Can use flame arrows

Northern Crossbowmen

• Northern Crossbowmen - Longer reload time than bowmen and shorter ranged. However, they do more damage than bowmen at ranged as well as in combat. Good ranged attack, okay melee attack but short ranged.

Mounted Units:

Northern Cavalry

• Northern Cavalry - Low tier mounted unit capable of quick response but little else. Poor charge, okay melee and poor defence.

Northern Knights

• Northern Lancers - Higher tier mounted unit capable of holding it's own in battle. Good charge, good melee, excellent defence and can from wedge.

Knights of Winterfell

• Knights of Winterfell - Body guard unit, perhaps recruitable depending on how overpowered it ends up being. Great melee, great defence, good charge and good moral.

NOTE: The models are not made by me, I've taken them from another mod called "Game of thrones 4.0".

I like them alot :)
Only negative thing i can see is the "Knights".
From lore prespective there woz no Knights in the north except the ones that Lord Manderly of White Harbor anointed and even they wore very few in number.

"Ah, a knight. They strut around like roosters down here. Even the ones who have never seen an arrow coming their way."
―Eddard Stark, a Northman, criticizing knights.

Keep up the great work! I would love to see this mod released :)

Awesome job!
The models look amazing, I can't wait to try them.

A few suggestions:
1) As has already been said, the Knights probably should be renamed.
2) It would be cool to see some region specific units eg Rills cavalry, Crannogmen, Skagosi, Northern Mountain Clans and White Harbor Knights.

However, as it stands, this looks really great.

I'll rename them to "lancers" or something. Thanks for pointing that out.

Double for Hawkbat's second suggestion; the North has potential for some awesome region-specific units (esp the mountain clans; badass speech by Hugo "Big Bucket" Wull Youtube.com ).

I would suggest making the Spearmen have the schiltrom, and have the swordsmen have the shield wall. Just a thought.

That's true, I think spearmen would hold a schiltrom better than swordsmen would. Although they would also hold a shield wall better as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

More shields walls entirely, if possible. >.>
Unless of course Greyjoys would make most use of em, as would be expected.

Woo! Love the region specific units!
Makes you want to conquer more lands to get even more different units!

I think I'll release a map of the regions in which they are recruitable in. May be awhile because I want to release articles on every factions units first. Perhaps in a few weeks.

I don't know who made them but who ever did is incredible at modelling. I'll be posting house Lannister some time tomorrow most likely.

You should add more militia grade units like moutain clansmen or wolfswood soldiers for variety.

Agree! Westeros: Petty Kings did a great job with the mountain clans (one spear-milita unit and one double-handed axe unit; tho adding a light horse skirmisher unit would be an awesome nod to their garrons in ADWD :) ).

They should take away the General Area Units like Northern and Westerland
Infantry and only include Specific House Units because its kind of Cringe
When you have Stark Banners on a Northern infantry men shield in a Bolton Army
