Hello fellow Modders!
It is I, your Resource Manager! What, you didn't know that the Modification Database had a Resource Manager? Not surprising. I am supposed to be managing the Tutorials for ModDB, but I have not had much to manage in the past few months. No indeed; in the past month, a grand total of 5 tutorials have been completed. Since the Resource Center officially opened last year, only 65 tutorials have been written. Pathetic. :|
So here is the spiel. To continue providing the mod community with resources, you expert modders need to get involved. Anything that you have discovered as you made a mod, that is not absolute common knowledge, is worthy of a tutorial. If you found out how to make custom shader instructions to simulate lava in FarCry, that would be worthy of a tutorial. If you have tips for making a better modification site, that would be worthy of a tutorial. If you have suggestions on how to keep a mod team motivated through long sleepless nights of mod development, that is definately worthy of a tutorial.
I want to see a-tutorial-a-day for the remainder of this month! Keep them coming! Make Wally proud! XD

lol 1 of those tuts was me :)
Well make another!
2 or 3 more Photoshop tutorials on the way.
Damn that wally.
Great, that last one was nice
BUT
EVERYONE UPLOAD YOUR PICTURES TO MODDB VIA THE UPLOAD SECTION OF THE TUTORIAL WRITING PAGE
THANK YOU
how do i modify a tut to add a pic?
When youve made your tutorial, right at the bottom is an upload image section. Select your file , upload it and copy the code, simple. :D
Makes me happy that I have the second most popular tutorial on Moddb. XD
I'll have to think up more to do. :S
how much have you written San-J?
nevermind. you've written 2.
Yes, I have written just two. I do not claim to have much expertise in mainstream modding, compared to many of our regulars here. The idea is not that the staff write the tutorials, but that the most knowledgeable people do, wether or not they are part of the modDB staff.
I will write a NOLF2 mapping tutorial before too long, though.
San-J, get on msn/irc please! :D
I've already submitted two video tutorials for Half-Life 2 and Maya, and I have just submitted my PHP tutorial for creating one page solutions for websites. Enjoy :)
If someone voices the need for it I suppose I could make a more in-depth tutorial about graphic design and/or an intro to PHP.
I am on the MSN right now! XD
I'll also log onto IRC, but I don't know how long I'll be on.. what is this about?
I'll do my best to do a few this month for hammer..
I just made a tutorial for beginners to Hammer, I'm gonna be making more soon.
