The Tactical Operations: Crossfire team are extremely proud to present the latest stage in the evolution of our game, the 1.7 patch. As you can see from the change log we posted yesterday, there has been a lot of tough and systematic work done to get TO:Crossfire polished in key ways. We believe that this is the finest version of TO:Crossfire that we have made, and we sincerely hope that our great community enjoys it too.

As well as consolidating and refining what has been achieved so far, this patch release also offers an element of technical showcase. In particular, Ssswing's great new map, Deluge. Advanced techniques were deployed to push the limits of what can be achieved with the UT2K4 engine. There is a lot to enjoy with this patch release, and also much to look forward to in the future, with the 2.0 patch being the next milestone.

This is one of the most professionally led mod teams I know of. I don't know why they choose to make that incredibly boring game, but wherever they are going with it, they squeeze the last juice out of that Orange formerly known as the Unreal Engine 2. Visually this is one of the pinnacles of modding for me, but the environments and the gameplay never make me want to play TO:C for longer than a night or a half.

It's a good mod after all, just not made for me. Congrats on the latest release 1.6, eh, oO, :e, errr 1.7?!

i agree with sinking, the games concept is boring but nice graphics(dont like spawning and getting shot within 5 sec.....).

That depends on the maps, once you learn them its easy to last more than 5 sec :)
